Sidecar from the relatively new company (2010) of the same name in Philadelphia helps eCommerce merchants and advertisers appear in Google Shopping and Bing product listings. Essentially, Sidecar automates comparative shopping engine (CSE) paid search advertising, for users with products to sell. Multiple investors support the private company to the tune of approximately $8.2 million, and Sidecar is used by a few big name sellers (Tigerdirect.com, Newegg.com, and others).
