Use Cases and Deployment Scope

AlertSite is an awesome tool for end-to-end, front-page website monitoring and API monitoring. AlertSite helps us to solve our problem to monitor website availability. It helps us to catch website failures. AlertSite tool is very easy to understand and very user-friendly. I have used it to monitor application website, setting up alerts. We can create dashboards to monitor all failures or website slowness. We can also add instructions in the alert while creating.

Front page monitoring
API monitoring

Cons

Tool is complicated for Alert creation
AlertSite GUI need improvement. As compared to Datadog, it needs improvement in GUI
While using AlertSite, many times we faced false alerting, they need to take a look at it to improve performance.

If you have some application and you want to keep uptime of that website more than 99%, you should go for AlertSite tool. It is very user friendly, AlertSite provides awesome support whenever you observe any issue with tool. If you want to monitor the performance of the website like the login page, logout page, loading time for the website after login, we should go for this tool.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

AlertSite is used in our organization to monitor our website and web applications in real-time to collect the super important metrics reflecting web page load time but from the user end (E2E) and that approaches helps us to understand what our website is experiencing in real-time.

Pros

What I have noticed so far is the fact that the AlertSite customer support team is trying to build relationships and go the extra mile to make sure we can overcome any occurring issues and they are quick to respond and provide sufficient guidance for implementing efficiently and fixing products issues.
Tool has very handy and easy UI.
It is very well in end to end Application URL monitoring and Front page URL monitoring.

Cons

Monitoring locations would have issue and cause false positive alerts.
Dashboard is unavailable at times or sometimes lags for minutes cause the monitoring team found slowness.

We needed a solution at the time to replace a very aged website monitoring solution. Our websites were developing constantly we weren't keeping up with the changes in terms of monitoring the visibility of the applications and the multistep experiences users were undertaking during a site visit and using our products. We have a large userbase and our websites are where our products are available, making us a 24/7 operation and also meaning our website uptime is absolutely key to profitability.

Pros

The Deja-Click Recorder is an excellent tool.
Good UI that translates to large NOC screens well.
Easy Alerting and Reporting.

Cons

Support is inconsistent at times in terms of quality and response.
Monitoring locations would have issues.
Dashboard would go unavailable at times or lag behind.

Likelihood to Recommend

A very costly platform if you intend to implement multistep transactions that use geographical testing. There are better alternatives out there at a fraction of the cost. It's difficult to say where Alertsite would be well suited. They're experienced in the sector and have been a player for a while now so they have the experience to hand if you're new to transactional testing and just starting out. If you need a large number of transactions and have a wide variety of products to monitor, then this is not the solution for you, as the cost will scale.
