What is Solix EDMS?

Solix Enterprise Data Management Suite (Solix EDMS) is an information lifecycle management solution, from Solix Technologies in Santa Clara. Solix helps infrastructure and operations leaders implement the right policies, processes, and technology for application decommissioning and data retention, and helps users identify infrequently accessed historic data from production applications, and ‘move’ it to a secure archive with data integrity and access preserved. Solix EDMS also identifies otherwise difficult to find PII, PCI, PHI and other sensitive data across the heterogeneous data sources and secure it using the format-preserving data masking.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Solix EDMS helps automate and streamline much of the process involved in data separation so that coding time is significantly reduced. It provides the means to optimize application performance while retaining historical data for long-term retention needs. With the implementation of Solix EDMS, we benefited from significant improvements in application performance, significant gains in DBA productivity, and faster backup and recovery.
