We used Talend to implement an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) that could contain all Supply Chain information in order to create an evolved reporting system. Moreover, we needed a flexible tool to extract and elaborate data, but also run external processes like data science algorithms that had to predict selling forecasts and raw materials supply to create some new KPIs for the production office.
Pros
Extract from source systems
Elaborate data
Run external processes
Can be used in a cloud solution
Cons
Support not as strong as other vendors.
If you want to use it in the best way you need to be able to do some programming.
With ETL component you cannot join tables from different schemas.

Talend is a complete tool with a lot of flexibility for the development and execution of complex tasks. Before we did not trust it so much as it did not have an enterprise solution, while now we feel free to propose it to customers. The graphic view is a little old, and it seems a tool more indicated to be programmed by a data engineer as you need to be able to write some code as well if you want to obtain complex results, while an easy approach as ETL could be managed by a developer.
We use Talend to transform data from non-relational databases into relational databases. Talend is extremely robust and versatile, so much so that we have even migrated from other ETL tools and trained employees in order to use Talend. It is versatile in the sense of readability, it can read many more types of files and you are able to interact much more with the data.
Pros
Being robust
Versatile
Usability
User Interface
Cons

Real time processing is slow as compared to other tools like Abinitio.
While developing batches, it crashes a lot. It may be the issue with me, but I wanted to highlight it.
Likelihood to Recommend
I would not suggest it for real-time processing as it seems slow to me, however, processing bath files or product mapping, it's a good tool to use.
Talend is used at EWS to integrate data between our MS SQL Reporting Server (ERP & Exact Global) and Cloud Apps like Cropin & SalesForce. We implemented it in 2018 and it’s proved to be highly efficient & reliable while working on large datasets replacing the custom (.NET coded) solution. It is used as a middleware to pass data of Farmers/Growers, Contracts & Fields from Reporting Server (ERP) to Cropin and Yield Estimations, Sowing, Transplanting & First Receiving Dates from Cropin to Reporting Server. In other Use cases, it integrates Reporting Server & Exact Global with SalesForce to pass Customer's Information and credit limits, Products & Price List, Accounts & Inventory information.

We use the commercial Talend Data Integration and some open studio versions of their various tool sets. We primarily use it to consolidate data from several different databases. We are up to 30 across the four subject areas we refresh daily in our data lake / warehouse. The tools allow ease of access to various databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, and Snowflake while providing access to blob storage on AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
Pros
Talend Data Integration allows us to quickly build data integrations without a tremendous amount of custom coding (some Java and JavaScript knowledge is still required).
I like the UI and it's very intuitive. Jobs are visual, allowing the team members to see the flow of the data, without having to read through the Java code that is generated.
Dynamically table creation from new source.
Cons
Using contexts with both connections and variables causes some troubles. CLOBs and dates with timestamps have issues.
The server-side should be completely revamped. The documentation is lacking within the product. They need to get better at all aspects of describing how it works and how to use it.
Consumes more CPU and Memory. I feel it's bit less efficient.
