Business Problems Solved
Tango Card has been widely used by users to incentivize their sales teams and reward clients. The software's ease of use, combined with a wide range of companies to choose from, has made it a popular choice for these purposes. Additionally, Preferred Patron Loyalty integrates Tango Card as a digital rewards option for their merchants, enabling them to offer rewards from major brands. This integration has been well-received by loyalty members, who appreciate the instant gratification of cashing in their points for Tango Cards.
The Tango Card API is considered reliable and effective by users. It has proved to be a valuable tool for a consumer panel platform, where panelists can redeem their points for Tango Cards. The software's hands-off nature and intuitive interface have also been praised, as they save valuable time in administration tasks. However, some users have reported issues with expired cards and difficulties accessing funds, which have led to frustrations. Despite this, Tango Card has proven itself over the years as a trustworthy platform for rewarding customers and survey respondents across various industries and countries. The flexibility to provide incentives without fees and in multiple currencies has streamlined the process for many users, saving costs along the way.
In addition to sales teams and customer panels, Tango Card has found its place in other industries as well. Health and well-being courses now use Tango Card as an incentive for completing their programs, replacing physical gift cards. The software has also proven effective in increasing survey response rates by offering gift card incentives, addressing the problem of low response rates due to survey fatigue. It has become the go-to solution for a financial organization's e-gift card needs, serving as a one-stop provider for their bank's e-cards. Furthermore, employees participating in an employee recognition program benefit from using Tango Card as their chosen payment card provider, which allows them to transfer their balance into various forms of recognition.
While many users have had positive experiences with Tango Card, there have been some reported issues with expiration dates on claim codes and balances. Unfortunately, attempts to address these problems have not always resulted in satisfactory customer service responses. Despite these challenges, the overall feedback from users highlights the usefulness and value of Tango Card in streamlining incentive programs, saving time, and offering a wide range of rewards options.
I received an email link for money from Tango as payment from GLG for a consultation, but I did not spend the funds until a few days before the Tango expiration date. Due to a shipping issue with an on-line purchase using the Tango card credit, the funds were returned/credited to the Tango Card one day after expiration. However, since the card is now expired, I do not have any access to those funds (but the return credit link apparently works fine to take the money back!) I spoke with a customer rep the day before the return of funds, and he assured me that I could get access to those funds since Tango could modify the expiration date. Since there are no fees charged by Tamgo, it's clear that its profit is made by applying strict deadline rules and by pocketing all of the unused funds - in this case it was an easy $650 for Tango!
Also, on the last evening I tried to spend the remaining $35 when it was only 10pm in California -- apparently, the deadline is eastern or central time (even though Tango is a west coast company!)
It will be interesting to see if Tango makes any accommodation for the funds that were returned/credited back to my Tango account...
Pros
easy to receive by email
easy to track expenditures and balances
Cons
Strict expiration deadline does not accommodate return credits - it can happen!
The expiration game is very profitable for Tango!
My company uses gift cards ...

If you use this program to provide gift cards make sure to warn the recipients to use them asap! In my experience, strange things can happen with on-line purchases. Maybe send a reminder to the recipient explaining that Tango is "banking" on you not to spend all of the funds.
Tango Card is the chosen payment card provider for a 3rd party my organization uses for employee recognition. Employees are able to transfer all or a portion of their balance into one of many forms of recognition. One option is a virtual visa card, but Tango Card has unilaterally and arbitrarily opted to place an expiration date on these claim codes AND balances. This is not standard practice as many consumers are able to hold a gift card without expiration dates. Further, the "claim code" does not apply to Utah law as UC §67-4a-102 which means the gift card was never issued, meaning I was taxed on these funds as earnings despite Tango Card being in possession of these funds 100% of the time.
For most, this would just be a frustrating issue you can work through with customer service. However, multiple attempts to correct this issue, including having Motivosity request on my behalf to re-issue these funds, AND creating a business case with the Better Business Bureau, has been met with negative customer service responses. I am recommending my organization terminate their contract with Motivosity as a result of Tango Card's anti-consumer practices.
Cons
Needs better customer service
Needs new policies
Needs to return stolen funds
Likelihood to Recommend
Tango Card is not well suited for any business given their poor customer service responses and unwillingness to work with end-user AND interim 3rd party.
We've used Tango Card for the past three years to reward our clients' customers for completing satisfaction surveys across five countries. The platform has given us the flexibility to provide incentives without transaction or delivery fees in multiple currencies while giving respondents a wide variety of redemption options. It's greatly streamlined the incentive process for us while saving significant costs.

Cons
Options for cash/cash-like rewards
Easier options for depositing funds into the account

Works great for market research, and for large batches of fulfillment. Where it shines most for me is in the international realm. We do tracking studies across dozens of countries and this has been a great help for us in making those studies feasible.

We used Tango Card to help incentivize and motivate our sales team and provide cards for them upon certain successes. We also used Tango to motivate our clients for certain things such as renewals, performances, etc. We help internal and external competitions where we used Tango Card for the winners. They very much enjoyed this as well as the tool.
We run health and well-being courses. The gift cards are incentivized for completing a course. This has replaced the hassle and expense of using physical gift cards.

Tango Card is used by my organization to help increase our survey response rates for surveys of high importance to our board of directors, by means of offering gift card incentives. It is used primarily by the marketing department, but for the sake of the whole company. It addresses the problems of low response rates due to survey fatigue.
Pros
Tango Card is very easy to use and set-up
Tango Card makes it easy to allow for multiple gift card options
Tango Card allows for excel imports of respondents, which keeps things nice and simple
Cons
Honestly, I have no complaints. It's a great tool!
Likelihood to Recommend
Tango Card is well suited for companies that want to increase their survey response rates by means of offering gift card incentives, nationally and internationally. It's especially well-suited for companies that use survey platforms/tools/third-party contractors that are not common like Qualtrics and SurveyMonkey, due to the ability to import respondents via excel files.
The financial organization [I] am working for was looking for a e gift card platform to address it's requirement to fulfill various customer needs on e gift cards. Tango [Card] helped us to overcome this and it was a one stop solution for e cards for the bank. It was used by bank-wide to fulfill it's customers needs.
Pros
Easy deployment
Comprehensive reporting
Cons
If API integration made be simplified, it will be great

When it comes to card platforms, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards or commonly known as PCIDSS was compulsory as a banking institute. Tango Cards is PCIDSS 3.2 fully complied. It gives you the company as well as it is customers confident that the their Card numbers are secured with the bank.

I have been using Tango Card, as I received them for the surveys I submitted online.
Pros
Highly secured
The process of redeem is simple
Virtual Digital card is really a great thought
Cons
Redemption in local currency is impossible
Tech support doesn't provide detailed information of where Tango Card can be used
In India cannot be used in popular sites ( Amazon , flipkart)
Limited options to spend in India
The balance amount in USD can't be clubbed hence its just wasted
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited: I tried many options to use Tango Card which comes only in USD in India but got only one option. I was finally able to spend on Pepperfry. Not well suited: Tried to use Amazon, but always got failed.
We use Tango as our digital rewards management provider connected to our online consumer panel platform (through FocusVision Kinesis Panel). Using Tango's API our panelists redeem points earned for projects on our platform towards a Tango Card that is redeemable wherever they want. It's being used only for 1 consumer panel managed by my organization with about 18,000 users. It's very hands-off in terms of how the redemptions work so that is a great thing not to have to worry about. Since it works well enough to not need user support and is intuitive enough for the non tech-savvy it saved me a lot of time in administering.
Pros
Rewards Genius backend is well organized and easy to start campaigns or run reports.
Onboarding was relatively pain-free.
Cons
The initial setup of the API with all the ACH info was a bit complicated.
The only speedbump (not big concern) is the branding of a Tango Card - when saying that to recipients, they don't "get it" immediately and some quick-to-judgement folks can say they don't want it.
Likelihood to Recommend
Having had the exact same setup with Giftbit's API, Tango Card is very well suited to be your online rewards mall provider to a consumer community. It also functions well for manual campaigns where you need to send a batch of people a set amount of incentives. Cannot immediately think of flaws or situations where I wouldn't recommend using it.
