Business Problems Solved
McAfee Advanced Threat Defense has proven to be an invaluable tool for our organization in safeguarding against online threats and intrusions. With its automatic updates and unobtrusive background operation, it ensures that our systems are consistently protected. Our major departments have all benefited from the software's highly effective security measures, which have successfully shielded our confidential data from malicious attacks.
Users have praised McAfee Advanced Threat Defense as an excellent antivirus software that provides comprehensive protection against various types of cyber threats. The sandbox facility, in particular, has been highly valuable in allowing us to conduct thorough tests on unknown applications before deploying them in our production environment. This capability has significantly reduced the risk of system compromises.
By activating all the security features of McAfee Advanced Threat Defense, we have been able to prevent any incidents and maintain optimal machine performance. Users express regret over not acquiring this product sooner due to its reliable and effective security measures that have served us well for more than five years.
For more than 5 years we have been using McAfee Advanced Threat Defense for all users, we have activated all the security features of the product and we are doing very well, we have not had any incidents and the performance of the machines is very good. The only problem we have had is not having purchased this product forever.
Pros
Virus blocking.
Malware blocking.
Blocking of malicious files.
signature detection.
Cons
handling exceptions if you could centralize it would be nice.
In the same way, it could improve how the logs are seen, the board is very rough.
At the level of final use, there is no way that it can visualize the time it takes for a scan to be carried out remotely.
Likelihood to Recommend
McAfee Advanced Threat Defense is great in large enterprise environments with large, highly segmented networks. The administrator can create exceptions for specific applications as well as create exceptions through HAS which is very convenient for applications created in house. I do not recommend installing it on a computer with little ram memory, since this product demands a lot of resources and can be clearly distinguished in the Windows task monitor.

We were using McAfee Advanced Threat Defense as primary source of security in our organization. It was very easy to implement and it has best detection rate as compared to other antivirus softwares. It also has a sandbox facility, which we use to test unknown applications before deploying them to the production environment. We also use a VPN to keep our web experience safe.
Pros
Virus and threat prevention
Sandbox option
VPN
It does run flawlessly in background
It can detect email threats too
Cons
Cost-wise a bit high
Cannot access through remote
Likelihood to Recommend
It is suited for people who are looking to secure their PCs from malware attacks. There is also email threat prevention where it will detect unwanted mails which come through our inbox. The sandbox feature comes in handy when you want to test new applications that will prevent it spreading to multiple systems in an environment if it is malicious. It has good customer support for all our technical queries. Since pricing is quite high, small-scale organizations can't afford it.
McAfee Advanced Threat Defense is an excellent antivirus software against all kinds of malicious attacks. It is installed in most major departments and is very helpful in protecting our confidential data from any unwanted attack. Now we are no longer afraid of cyberattacks, as it is an effective tool against Malware and all such dangerous offenses.
Pros
Its basic strength is its detecting power, which detects viruses within a fraction of seconds.
It repairs threats efficiently in less time.
Works quite smoothly in the background.
Cons
There should be more updates.
It is heavy on our system's storage or we need a high-storage system to run this tool.
Its pricing is disappointing.
Likelihood to Recommend
If someone is looking for software that would be able to work well against all advanced forms of cyberattack, then McAfee Advanced Threat Defense is the best option to go for. We haven't faced any scenario in which any viruses would be able to get access to our files. Only its pricing needs to be a little lower and there should be more updates.
McAfee Advanced Threat Defense is used throughout our organization and on every laptop as a defense against online threats and intrusions. For the most part, it runs quietly in the background and many folks do not even know it is on their system and running. It updates automatically and starts when the computer is started so no one forgets to turn it on.
Pros
Automatic updates.
Runs in the background.
Cons
Can be heavy.
Not easy to override.
Likelihood to Recommend
McAfee Advanced Threat Defense is good for large organizations where there are many users and profiles that all need the same permissions and settings. It provides a fairly seamless experience and is effective at stopping threats with little input from end-users. That being said, if there are many profiles or individuals that all need specific settings, McAfee Advanced Threat Defense does work, just cumbersome.
