we need Tungsten Power PDF to a modify PDFs in our company. most of these PDFs contain drawings and shapes that cannot be modified using normal PDF software additionally, it is also used to sign PDFs and to protect PDFs from being modified or edited or a manipulated. Further, the size compression feature is really important and useful

I have been using Tungsten Power PDF for a few months now. It is super easy to learn and use. I use Power PDF to merge, edit, and redact documents, as well as to Bates stamp documents. I frequently use it to electronically sign PDF documents. I also use it to organize records in PDF format into chronological order so that I do not have to print, organize, and scan.

Cons

Would be nice to buy one license for my Macbook and PC.

I am a litigation paralegal and work with PDF documents daily to edit, bates stamp, merge, split, and organize them. I also use it to electronically sign PDF documents. I like that it was a one-time purchase as opposed to a monthly or annual fee. It is very cost-effective.

Our firm frequently edits PDFs for monthly reports, quarterly reports, proposal packages, internal communications, and external correspondence. Tungsten allows us to quickly compile multiple PDFs into one report and rearrange them appropriately. We receive markups/edits from city/state agencies and can modify and edit according to their preference. However, the program is neither as user-friendly nor intuitive as Adobe PDF editor. Most staff in our office prefer to use an alternate editor and avoid Tungsten. The program often lags, does not pick up all objects easily, lacks many fonts for text editing, and is challenging to navigate through multiple documents open at the same time.

Document organization when compiling multiple files.

Cons

Text editing should be more seamless, typewriter function is a headache.
Object highlighting should be more detailed, it often takes 3-4 tries to highlight an entire object and modify/delete it.

Likelihood to Recommend

While Tungsten is a more affordable option than alternate PDF editors, our team has had a slow time adopting it because it is challenging to navigate.

I have both a work and personal subscription to Tungsten Power PDF. The tool is a necessity in my security compliance work and my personal work. I have used both the MacOS and Windows versions, but I prefer the feature set in the Windows version. One of the most used features is the Combine, where multiple files can be combined into a single PDF.

Creating header and footer macros that ease file editing.

Cons

Image content editing (enhancement, contrast, grayscale, etc).

My use of Power PDF goes hand in hand with PaperPort. The two applications work seamlessly together. Document scanning and conversion to and from other formats such a Office formats is made easy.
My usage is in preparing contract documents and legal document bundles so the ability to move pages around, to edit, and have good indexing with links that can also be edited is great. E-signatures and adding wet sig copies works well.

Cons

Getting in and out of the edit function
Bundling large numbers [50+] of PDF docs can mean bundling bundles which is clunky
Management whilst in Document assembly view for large, many page, documents get difficult

I use Tungsten Power PDF for genealogical research. I use it to combine documents, comment on documents, and export pdfs to WORD and EXCEL. It is a very good program and it fulfills all of my needs without having to use more expensive software.

We have found this much easier to use and more cost-effective than Adobe PDF writers. Tungsten Power PDF has helped us tremendously in our work efficiency. This is the perfect solution for small to medium businesses who don't want to spend the annual fees for Adobe Acrobat Reader with the same functionality. It is easy to use. All of our staff was able to easily transition to Tungsten Power PDF with ease. The program is intuitive. We purchase our licenses from a third-party vendor for software. It is extremely easy for us to transfer a license to a new employee when one leaves.

It has saved us time and money. There is no learning curve in switching to it, our staff was able to switch seamlessly.

We use Power PDF as our primary PDF editor across our business. It is used to put together pdfs from multiple sources as enclosures for the reports that we write as well as the pdf printer to print our documents to pdf.

UI Overall - only the colour has changed over the years
Performance improvements - optimising / editing large PDFs can get slow
Thumbnails flash as you scroll down. These should pre-load and stay loaded.

Do you need to edit PDFs? It works well. Do you edit large PDFs? It works well, but can be sluggish. Do you not need to edit PDFs and just look at them? You don't need it. Simple.
