Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Veeam has been a game-changer for our organization. Since the first day of implementation till now, we have not had any issues with it. It works better than any backup software that we have used in my 25 years in IT. We do not have to worry about failed or missed backups as it just consistently works. It is also so much faster than any other backup software we have used and is very user-friendly. We rarely have to call support but when we have, the support has been top-notch. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Cons

  • Compared to other backup software, I do not see any room for improvement.

Return on Investment

  • Our previous backup solutions were not reliable and very costly.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Veeam Backup for AWS for a group of VM in IAS suscription. This VM have application for medical auditor on land. It is really importat to hace high availability of this VM al time. We use Veeam Backup for AWS to backup and restore this machine.

Pros

  • Our operator have the same interface por restore on-premise as in cloud VM machine.
  • Veeam Backup for AWS has a full integration with AWS Cloud Computing Platform

Cons

  • The integration of Veeam One will be Great.
  • We are using S3 repository. It is really hard to implement inmutable repository with out this service.
  • The report of its jobs is a litle simple and we have to make inform manually of its jobs.
  • The backup copy is difficult to operate and deploy.

Return on Investment

  • For us, is really importat control the cost of use of S3 account. This point doesn´t appear y reports.
  • The integration to Veeam One (on-premise) to AWS platform isn`t possible. We have a manual report writer for compliace to SGSI.

Veeam Backup for AWS suits best when we are already backing up different workloads using Veeam backup, we used Veeam Backup for AWS as Proof Of Concept and tested its working and it was very smooth and efficient with respect to the backup and recovery functionalities and user interface options.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have numerous data that is on-prem and in hybrid cloud that needs to be backed up. We are also want protection also from a cyber security attack. Our challenge is to have a central system to backup, restore, and replicate our operations among different platforms (Windows, Linux, MacOS) . The goal is to replace our legacy backup systems.
