It has a lot of amazing feature and provide a way to solve backup and recovery of our servers data also they provide a virtual network that's helping us to do solve network problems also we have a option to use this Veeam on IBM Cloud according to our business needs and type of servers required

Highly functional and very excellent backup solution that offers amazing Cloud solutions for quick and easy data recovering and the Veeam on IBM Cloud replication functions are very effective. Secure Cloud data management and the easy data retrieving capability offered by Veeam on IBM Cloud is good and easy data virtualization through the platform.

We were using IBM Notes on the Cloud. We used Veeam on IBM Cloud to back up the databases. All of our in-house servers are virtual using VMWare. We use it to create replicas of all the servers. When we moved our IBM Notes to the cloud, we changed our backup on the Mail Databases to the Veeam on IBM Cloud for cloud backups. We were able to open the Veeam on IBM Cloud and choose any mailbox to restore or even view online.

Pros

Very easy to backup images.
Very easy to restore.
Did not interfere with bandwidth.

Cons

Nothing at this time. The interfaces are very detailed.

Creating virtual images of the servers. Veeam on IBM Cloud allows you to create replicas of all the databases. Full, and incremental. The interface is adaptable and very easy to use.

[The] whole organization is using it to securely upload data on the cloud. One of the major business problems resolved was the data [recovery] ability whenever required. Beyond all the technological innovation, the key differentiator in working with IBM is its expertise in business processes. For decades, IBM has been proving to its customers that its strength is to supply consulting, management, and delivery frameworks to scale, no matter how great that scale is. The IBM/Veeam partnership is really only bearing fruit because of the substantial investments that IBM has made in its global-scale public cloud infrastructure. While it is important to have a technology partner that does backup and recovery right, it’s just as important to have a high-security destination for those critical business data and application backups.

Veeam on IBM Cloud Backup - It's as simple as that!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have setup multiple clients with Veeam on IBM Cloud to backup their Servers/Databases to the Cloud. I also have installed other Veeam products that work in conjunction with/assist Veeam on IBM Cloud. All of Veeam's products work cohesively with each other and cause no appreciable slow downs on related system resources.

Pros

Backups up all Server Database structures completely
Backups up all Server Databases while those databases are still in use
Does not have any appreciable effect on Server system resources

Cons

I would like to see a slightly more improved user interface
A more thorough off-line Help section would be beneficial

I would highly recommend Veeam on IBM Cloud to any client/business that needs Cloud backup technology for their Server Databases. It is not as thorough as other Veeam products for backing up Windows Workstations.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

This product is primarily being used as a backup and recovery solution for data--data in an on-premises data center is backed up in the cloud and this is where we use Veeam on IBM Cloud. It is used across the organization and helps have a data backup in the event we need to restore it. Data recovery is something we do once a quarter just to be sure that the solution works well and we are also following the exact steps required in the event of a real contingency. At every data recovery activity, there was zero data loss since we had clearly marked the data recovery point that we were going for.

Helps data recovery especially in recovery point objective without data loss
Easy to use interface
Minimal learning curve to use the product

Cons

Dashboard showing success/failure of backup can be made straightforward with either green for success or red for failure

Veeam on IBM Cloud is very well suited for doing data backup from the storage environment in the data center. It does this job well with an easy and straightforward user interface. There is minimal learning curve to get started. We wanted to use the cloud for backup instead of expanding storage in the data center and hence went with this solution. We do data recovery on a regular basis and have been able to retrieve data from Veeam backup in a very straightforward manner meeting the recovery time and recovery point objectives.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have this solution implemented for a particular department that is open to having their data cloud-enabled. The department does not have a unique source to fund Capex expenditures so the IBM Cloud was a much friendlier solution. The underlying cloud management saves them on operation costs and allows them to use their funding in a flexible fashion.

When you want to expand your IT function to cloud functionality, IBM Cloud provides the tools needed with their partnership with Veeam to make it happen. If your data needs to stay on-premise for security purposes, obviously a cloud solution will receive a lot of scrutiny as an alternative. If you can overcome those hurdles, Veeam on IBM Cloud is a good choice.

Veeam on IBM Cloud has been our choice for a backup solution. As an IT department, we have the responsibility for data management including backups. We have had many different backup solutions before but Veeam is the one now, which fulfils all our needs. Before we had to follow up on the process every day, but now it works smoothly almost every time. Also we have had many recovery tests and it always works great.

Veeam is used by the organization for backups of virtual and physical servers. It addresses the problems of backing up many servers.

Pros

Continuity to instantly recover any app, any data, on any cloud.
Veeam helps you avoid data loss by enabling low recovery point objectives (RPO) of <15 minutes and built-in, streamlined disaster recovery.
It guarantees the recovery of every file, application, or virtual server, every time, by running automated recovery verification jobs.

Cons

The dashboard on viewing backups and count/failures needs to be better.
It needs an easy way to delete backups from the target device.

Veeam actually works. Under our full load, Veeam just works and works well with few errors.
