Being a user of Veritas Netbackup IT analyses, I must say that it has reduced a lot of manual activities and helped a lot when it comes to taking backups of Prem & Non-Prem resources. It automatically generates reports (Which can be customized as well), which will help you to get an insight into the backup taken and the issues that occur. The very important feature of it is to predict failures and take the appropriate action by reporting them as per configuration. It works on multiple cloud environments like google/oracle/AWS etc. Whereas apart from functionality, its GUI looks user-friendly in comparison to other applications. The biggest problem solved for our organization is the validation of backups got easier as we get detailed reports and where we can have issues in the future as well.
Pros
- Optimization of Storage backup.
- In-depth expenditure reports, even at department level as well.
- Compatibility with offline(On-premises)/On-line(Cloud Data).
Cons
- Not easy to implement and need more resources to manage.
- Technical support to be improved for this, which is lagging somewhere.
- It's really very expensive.
Likelihood to Recommend
I would like to recommend it for its detailed reporting feature, which is - I should say the great feature of Veritas Netbackup IT Analytics and they succeeded to deliver that if we compare it with ManageEngine Recovery Plus or Veeam etc. Apart from that, its Ransomware resilience has proved to the world how clients got benefitted from it and how easily they managed to recover the infected data.
