Great Employees' Management Tool

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

WebHR is being used across the whole organization. Every employee has their profile with contact information. Also, it's a great tool to manage employees' leaves and personal organization hierarchy. Everyone sees their leaves summary (how many days were taken and what left), may apply for a leave, and this request will go for approval by the customized hierarchy. Also, you can see who is on leave today and tomorrow and there is a calendar with birthday information.
WebHR is a good tool for managing salaries. All payslips are available for review with changes, bonuses, adjustments, overtimes, insurance, and other information.

Pros

  • Everything is clear, simple to understand, and clearly defined
  • Salary management is simple and understandable
  • Leaves management is easy to use
  • Cloud-based, and has mobile apps

Cons

  • Performance improvement needed
  • UI changes needed
  • Has some not needed features, like Badges

Likelihood to Recommend

WebHR is very useful for small organizations. Their user management is very good and easy to understand for first-time users. The tool is very customizable as well, covers many tasks, and generates different reports and summaries. The only potential con is that the interface isn't very user-friendly.

WebHR is a great product to Organize HR data!

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are implementing WebHR across our entire organization. It provides all the modules necessary to manage all the employee information from the time they join to the time they leave the company. Especially like the functionality for "role" to be assigned to each employee which permits granular control of what access is permitted to the information in the database. With this functionality, managers automatically have access to the data of their direct reports and the employees can only see their own data and general information about the organization. In general, this application solves many of the issues with managing employee information which traditionally was done by Word, Excel and scanned documents. It gives access to the relevant information to the organization instead of creating bottle necks in the HR department. We are still in early stages of implementing other modules but see great value in going with the WebHR route. Also development and support personnel are very responsive to bug reports and requests for improvements. It is obvious that they are eager to continually improve the user experience. Congratulations to the WebHR team!

Pros

  • You create the organization structure when setting up employees (define direct reports) and WebHR uses this for its logic. For example; creating organization charts; Applying roles so managers automatically have access to direct reports information; direct reports interact with their managers to request vacation time, performance evaluations, etc.
  • We are working within the Google apps business edition which permits easy implementation of WebHR within the organization.

Cons

  • The ability to create organization charts is very useful. However, current implementation only permits creating a simple output of individual org charts (in the reports section). I currently generate them and then cut/paste to PowerPoints. It would be excellent if WebHR could generate these direct to a powerpoint presentation and at good resolution.
  • Would be useful to have ability to create VACANT positions and have these appear in employee list and org charts. Also that they be accounted for separately in the generated reports. Currently I have to create employees called VACANT to get around this. Also would be really nice to be able to link these vacant positions with the recruitment module so management can select the vacant positions and see how the recruitment process is advancing to fill the position.
  • An option for a tabular view of the employee data would be really convenient to be able to do mass editing. This instead of having to open and edit one by one. This would help a lot in being able to detect and complete missing data from employee profiles.

Likelihood to Recommend

I cannot think of any scenarios where WebHR would not be appropriate. It's a good solution for any size business and I see a lot of interest in the development to continue improving the solution.

WebHR

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It creates the initial documents in the beginning stages of hiring new employees, used for transfers and promotions. It is also used for employee resignations and retirements. Primarily for any aspect that a Human Resource department needs to accomplish their mission. Designated staff from all departments work with HR in establishing documents that are needed and Web HR is what electronically creates the documents.

Pros

  • WebHR is versatile enough that an organization can use it to meet its specific needs in filling vacant positions, promotions, resignations and retirements. It allows for specific forms to be generated.
  • It has a tracking system that notifies chain of command if an action needs to take place.
  • Additional documents can be scanned and attached when a file is created, i.e. resignation letter, position descriptions,

Cons

  • Logging into it from our system gives an error, but after a few minutes it acknowledges me and logs in (because I am logged into our secured system)

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well suited for large companies/organizations. It may be beneficial for smaller business. It has a great tracking system.
