Whova is a comprehensive easy-to-use conference app

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Whova exclusively for conferences that I attend within my industry, provided that Whova is offered as the conference app by the organizer. Whova is also helpful for post-conference outreach, remaining connected, and for prospecting either prior to or post conference. I find Whova very helpful for conference agendas, scheduled sessions and other ways to connect with conference attendees.

Pros

  • Conference platform and information
  • Additional Resources
  • Connecting with conference attendees
  • In-pocket convenience

Cons

  • Consider adding an Instant Messaging component to interact with conference attendees and colleagues in real time, with notifications.
  • In addition to the photo gallery, could there be added functionality to allow for uploading presentations?
  • Many times attendees are promised access to keynote and session presentations after the conference, but often it is unclear where or when these will be available.

Likelihood to Recommend

Conference content is the most useful tool, seeing the schedule at a glance, or which breakout room the session you're interested in is held and how to get to it.

Whova - 2025 [...] Conference Review

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I utilized this app while at the 2025 [...]Conference. Overall, I was very impressed with the platform and the networking tools. I loved being able to manage my schedule and have it ready to go to guide my day.

Pros

  • Direct networking with attendees and opportunities to meet.
  • Organizing the conference's agenda.
  • Connected well with the attendee roster available. I really liked the bookmark feature that helped me quickly remember whom I chatted with.

Cons

  • I did notice some lag in messages being received after being sent.
  • I also found it hard to go back to a community group meet up for updates. You had to manually go back through all the other groups to find the one I signed up for. I would see updates come through, but couldn't access them directly.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think it works really well as a way to organize yourself while at a conference. As well, to network with said attendees I found it very valuable to remember names. Having an automatic rolodex with everyone I met and ensure I had their info to connect later.

Two of our software companies use Whova, and there is a reason....Keeps you in the loop and EASY to use and communicate.

Pros

  • Ease of use
  • Lets me know what and where things are
  • Great networking even if you do not meet them in person
  • Sharing of pictures
  • Gives me alerts

Cons

  • I love it, so nothing I can see that I would change

Likelihood to Recommend

This is well suited because it empowers you to be informed with a simple touch of a button. This could be from an event, who the sponsors and who is attending the event, logistics, and basically gives you access to be involved and chose what applies to you.

Whova Great for Conference Networking

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I attended a Whova use-case event. The app was used for all formal logistics and networking purposes. The event had an attendance of roughly 800 unique members.

Pros

  • Profile Creation
  • Ease of Contact Exchange
  • Aggregated Attendees List for Follow Up

Cons

  • Split the community tab. It's currently hard to have sideline events be discoverable to the wider audience if it's hidden between polls and general questions

Likelihood to Recommend

Whova is great for conference settings in which networking is a significant aspect of the experience.

Whova is Well Designed and Adds Value to All Events

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have used Whova for multiple events as an end user. And I have now used it with different hosting organizations. As an attendee to these events, I have had the opportunity to use multiple features.

Pros

  • Gives attendees the opportunity to communicate with each other outside of the scheduled sessions.
  • Great way to take notes throughout the event in one place.
  • Makes it easy to keep track of your agenda and easily make last-minute changes.
  • Great single point of information for all aspects of the event.

Cons

  • Have a simple way to swap contact information/electronic business cards. Even better would be a way to export the contact information out at the end of the event.

Likelihood to Recommend

Overall Whova is great as a single point of information for all aspects of the event. Communication with all attendees and speakers is simple. And it keeps your notes and documents from presentations organized and easily accessible.

Good App

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used the app to attend a conference.

Pros

  • Great organization
  • Good feedback questions and polls speakers can use

Cons

  • On the polls and questions, maybe only make them visible to people who attended your session. Everyone was just trying to get points and not really giving accurate feedback. I had 30 people fill out my poll if my session was helpful before it even happened and before you could watch the recording.
  • Require people to sign up for sessions in the Agenda so speakers have an idea of who is coming to their presentation because sometimes we need to tweak the session at the last minute to accommodate a different room of people.
  • Make polls and questions session specific to the session and not add them to the community talking boards where people just look for things to answer for the prize or points. Have a separate area for community polls and questions.

Likelihood to Recommend

Any conference would be a great fit!

  • Gets people connected
  • Keeps agenda simple (& will go to iOS calendar!)

Cons

  • I wish there was a way to give personalized agendas depending on region
  • I would prefer a separate section to schedule meetups

Likelihood to Recommend

Used it for SleepCon25 & enjoyed the connection, collaboration, and seamless logistics
