Cost effective simple solution for non-complex environments

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

[I am] using Zerto on IBM Cloud for disaster recovery replication for clients which have short recovery point objectives, Servers like SQL are mainly adopting this replication mechanism in order to have short recovery along with standard log shipping and also Commvault based backup for logs. The integration of the VMware on cloud also supports replicate easily.

Pros

  • Data replication with journaling.
  • SQL replication.
  • Fast recovery in case of cyber attack / disaster.

Cons

  • Bandwidth utilization.
  • Support for non Microsoft products like Oracle.
  • Inclusion of more virtualization environments.

Return on Investment

  • Positive is the option of bringing your own license.
  • Negative - the complex environments are not supported.
  • This cannot be used as a backup replacement rather DR tool.
