Zoom Rooms are delivering Academic Courses Across the State

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have more than 250 Zoom rooms with most of those being in classrooms to deliver 315 academic courses a semester. This allows faculty who are not only located on our main campus, but also faculty with expertise throughout the state to teach students at various locations. Students can attend at any of 30 locations in the state, and can also join from home or work. We serve many students in the rural areas of the state.

Pros

  • Zoom Rooms is built on the Zoom platform so faculty already know it and use it.
  • All touch panels regardless of manufacturer have the same look and feel.
  • Easy to schedule, easy to use.
  • Supports a wide range of hardware from several vendors.

Cons

  • Easy way for in-room participants to join the meeting from their own devices for participating in polling, breakouts, whiteboarding etc.

Likelihood to Recommend

It works well in the classroom from a technology standpoint and the variety of vendors that have hardware solutions for Zoom Rooms. You can design and find hardware to meet whatever size of classroom.

It is real easy to deploy in a conference room. Vendors have simple all-in-one video bars with Zoom Room software already on. Pull out of the box, mount below and monitor and your up and running.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have 5 meeting rooms in the office, all are equipped with Zoom Rooms and each has different Hardware integration. In addition, we have digital signage on three screens, a Kiosk at the entrance and several devices with a Personal Zoom Rooms distributed throughout the office. The rooms allow us to meet with our partners and clients from all over Latin America and Europe.

Pros

  • Office's
  • Virtual receptionist
  • Personal Zoom Rooms

Cons

  • Register as a participant in zoom events

Likelihood to Recommend

Zoom Contact Center with Zoom Kiosk and integration of Zoom Rooms with interactive screens in a meeting room to provide training. The use of digital signage keeps us informed about upcoming events or visits that we will have in the office.
Finally, we use workspace reservation for workplaces since we do hybrid work and we need to reserve the places where we are going to work when we go to the office.

Zoom Rooms is my goto meeting room software

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We wanted an easy-to-use system for small conference groups. Zoom Rooms was chosen because it gave a stable platform and still gave us more options for the hardware in the room and would be seamless to work with larger Zoom meetings and webinars

Pros

  • Ease of use
  • Quality of connection
  • Intagration with other zoom products

Cons

  • remote control of Zoom Rooms for host to control without being present for 'senior managers' to be supported remotely.

Likelihood to Recommend

I just love the way Zoom Rooms work quickly, unlike other platforms that refuse to connect with hardware without reason. Zoom Rooms pick up devices and work quickly and easily. It is often hard to tell you are not in a normal Zoom meeting. I was concerned about how to move from a single-person device to a multi-user room and Zoom Rooms made it very easy to do and I have even taken the equipment 'on the road' for club meetings and it all worked perfectly.

Zoom cured our headaches

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Zoom for all our office telecommunication and teleconference needs. It makes it easy by integrating all the tools in one easy interface. Conference room control is easy with the Zoom Rooms controller app. Call quality is good and we have not had any real issues. This is our 3rd service provider and we finally found one that works without any headaches.

Pros

  • Video conferencing
  • Messaging between accounts/extensions
  • Receptionist control panel works well and is very easy to use.

Cons

  • The admin portal is heavy. It could use some info bubbles.

Likelihood to Recommend

Zoom Workplace is ideal for hosting large meetings where users may need to split into smaller groups. It allows organizers to easily create and manage breakout sessions. For companies with remote or hybrid users, Zoom provides many tools to manage virtual meetings, schedule appointments, and stay productive regardless of location. I wouldn't recommend it for users who need Zoom for personal reasons, like staying in touch with family. Its features are overwhelming and unnecessary. Small businesses or startups with limited needs might also find Zoom too complex or costly.

Great meeting and collaborative software for the workplace

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Zoom to schedule company meetings and events with numerous users. Some problems that were address with Zoom were collaboration between onsite and offsite users, events that needed long duration of time and allowing questions to be answered in real-time. Another use case that has been helpful is addressing users issues relating to hardware and software by offering the remote control feature.

Pros

  • Screen sharing
  • Troubleshooting
  • Remote control

Cons

  • Pose a question anonymously
  • Allow multiple users to request control
  • Better background noise cancellation

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well suite for meetings, event, seminars and collaboration for multiple users whether onsite or at a remote location. The clarity of the audio and video are good and allows for testing of different input devices before and during meetings. The screen sharing feature is great with little hassle for users.

Zoom Workplace is our main company video collaboration tool over other tools available in our organization. It allows for our employees to effectively colloborate and share screens with the hybrid environment as it is easy to use and audio and video quality is great. We also use this as a remote support tool for Helpdesk.

Pros

  • Screenshare
  • Audio/Video quality
  • Remote control

Cons

  • Feature location settings changed after update
  • Support team response to problems
  • New feature releases are communicated properly

Likelihood to Recommend

We use Zoom Rooms and Zoom Workplace and they are perfect for what we need for a hybrid workforce. Audio and video quality is also always great. I have used and managed many different solutions and Zoom Workplace is at the top.

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Zoom Workplace for all of our web conferences, Hybrid and Zoom Room integration. All employees and locations have access. We do not use the IM capabilities but have recently started using the AI Meeting Summary and Companion. Employees use the Windows app, Mobile app and Zoom Rooms on a daily basis.

Pros

  • Hybrid meetings with Zoom Room integration
  • Recordings are excellent
  • Ease of use is strong

Cons

  • Sharing audio from one participant while another shares video is not functional

Likelihood to Recommend

It is still the ad-box standard in the industry. It is more expensive than other options (MS Teams) but is with it.

Great low cost solution that was easy to implement.

We use it for easy integration for team meetings when we don't have a microsoft license in the conference room we use. We also host all of our training that is virtual or hybrid on Zoom. Training over 1000 people per year with Zoom having a role in that.

Pros

  • Ease of login with multiple locations
  • east of room management
  • simple useage

Cons

  • displaying recurring meetings on the home screen
  • because of the locations and different rooms we use the login in and mfa is a challenge.

Likelihood to Recommend

It would well for team meetings and larger group training, including peer groups.
