Use Cases and Deployment Scope

ZoomInfo Engage is an addon to increase engagement in sales efforts to reach more prospects, and connect with them. It allows automation, campaigns, personalized options for B2C communication, and metrics to measure. This is a critical add-on to the ZoomInfo suite as it bolsters some of the more well known and robust products that we use. It definitely helps us with our customer touchpoints, and creating stronger connections!

Pros

  • Allows for customization, automation, and scaling of outreach
  • Works as a secondary and well done CRM to compliment or serve as a main internal CRM. Also helps organize your prospects.
  • Tracks customer actions and engagement at a very convenient level, with easy to read data.

Cons

  • The platform has plenty of room to expand in terms of the actual CRM features it has
  • It would be beneficial if it was easier to upload and download information to exchange with internal CRM
  • I would love to see AI automation for outreach to customers at a high level. It already has the framework to make this happen technically.

Return on Investment

  • ZoomInfo Engage has in a small way been responsible for more communications and faster communication with new prospects. It cuts down about 20% of our time based work as well for generic campaigns
  • Allows our sales team to close at a higher rate which we predict is about 10%
  • Since implementation our sales team has grown about 15%, and our sales reviews have become faster.

  • Sending Emails without screwing up

Cons

  • In my experience, super unreliable product... too many bugs for a knowledge worker
  • In my opinion, overpriced. They are making money for its affiliation with sales os product.
  • In my experience, filtering is messed up and buggy. No real support for Account based focus campaigns... Just good for basic calling, recording, and auto sync with CRM... everything else, sucks. Not reliable

Since we are an executive recruitment firm, we use ZoomInfo Engage to identify potential candidates for our assignments for either direct recruitment or referral requests. We can also use the ZoomInfo Engage for business development/marketing when needed. The entire company uses ZoomInfo, and it has been instrumental in identifying candidate contact information, company information, and organizational charts at companies.

Pros

  • Engage allows us to find several means of contact (mobile phone, business phone, work email, personal email.
  • Engage allows us to email directly from the site and we can see when the emails are opened by the recipient.
  • Engage has the ability to create automated "workflows" so that you can email automatically, then call, etc.

Cons

  • It's cumbersome to set up templates and workflows.
  • There is an order of operations, and it's not always easy to set up a workflow.
  • I want to see candidates who may not be on LinkedIn but would be on other professional sites. I'm not sure that this is possible.

Most Important Features

  • Setting up email templates.
  • obtaining multiple types of contact information.
  • searching via NAICS or SIC codes.
  • Creating automated workflow campaigns which include both automated emails and telephone calls.

Return on Investment

  • We are more efficient in our day to day work.
  • We reach more people more quickly so we can complete assignments for our clients more quickly.
  • We can see when an email is opened in real-time, so we can see who is actually seeing the messages (verses them going into a junk/spam folder or being blocked by a firewall. On other platforms, you have no idea if your email has been opened or read unless the recipient responds.

I've used Zoominfo Engage to find and reach the right talent and buyers in recruitment. It's similar to how herohunt.ai works. Works quite wel when sending messages and follow ups. Personlization and automation features could improve though.
