Overall Satisfaction with QuickBase
QuickBase is used across all departments in the business to assist with key KPI reporting and tracking as well as an operational tool for project management and tracking. Key use cases in our business for the application include risk management, IT work request recording, approval, scheduling and change board approval, internal audit tracking, client implementation project management and task allocation, departmental planning and tracking.
Pros
- Easy importing facility from Excel which allows a transition from manual systems to the database system.
- Easy to build dashboards of key business KPI information.
- Easy to use even for non-technical individuals.
Cons
- More user friendly tools for building complex dashboards would be useful. For example it can be quite difficult to group data items to calculate a total that can then be compared to another key metric.
- Exporting dashboards as PDFs or into MS applications would be a good enhancement as currently I need to take screenshots and this isn't ideal.
- Better defaulting of colour schemes related to the dashboards created would be good as I currently need to manually make changes as the same colour is being used to represent different data elements.
