Oracle's PeopleSoft HCM is a complete, customizable suite including Global Core Human Capital Management, Workforce Management, Workforce Service Delivery, and Talent Management. PeopleSoft can be integrated to run on the Oracle Cloud.
Looked at our current software provider's timekeeping application, prior to purchasing ExakTime. Ease of use and time capture is what sold me on ExakTime.
This is the first product like this that we've used. We've been using ExakTime for several years now, and I can't imagine going back to manual entry! I also wouldn't think there's any comparable product on the market that allows as much customization or would be as user …
before the ExakTime mobile app everything was done via email or hard copy papers. This app was the first one that company attempted to implement and went off without a hitch. The app was so easy to use there was no need to search the market for another time tracking software.
Although Asana works well for offices that focus primarily on office management, it would not be a user-friendly tool for those who are on job sites and traveling to different locations on a daily basis.
They were my third choice because they would work with QB. Love the reminder to clock in and out that woould be usefull. Open the Time Clock window in the app.Select a job or task, Select Clock In, Select Clock Out when you’re done for the day. I did not like the layout.
NEOGOV and GOSKILLS offers relevant preloaded courses that are of interest to our employees. The reporting ability is also more user friendly and the appearance of both platforms is better.
I used a software called Kronos, but it was actually for clocking in a warehouse where everyone is stationary. ExakTime is better suited for my particular field because we have multiple locations. I have also used ADP, but I prefer ExakTime because it is bundled with all the …
Busy Busy did not track equipment hours. ExakTime tracks them, but the reporting is challenging when trying to combine labor hours and equipment hours in the same report.
Acoro is really great and stacks well in the industry. There really isn't any other ATS system out there that works with contractors and other different industries which makes it tailored really well into the field. It centralizes around different scopes that employees and …
ExakTime provides a great solution to timekeeping especially with the mobile app. The conference calls we had prior to purchase were constructive and very informative. ExakTime's sales team was more than willing to answer our questions. Our biggest concern was how were we …
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is not as good as SuccessFactors HCM. The look and feel of Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is still 'old school'. Cloud solutions can do more. SuccessFactors offers a great talent management, performance measurement, and employee development, while Oracle …
Oracle at the time was what was the best option. Now that we are years from when we first implemented it, we now see that there are other options that we could use to provide us what we need and not use as many systems.
PeopleSoft allows organizations to build complex process in HRMS system through customizations. Cloud products like Workday or Fusion HCM are behind PeopleSoft on their customization capability. Nowadays, the organization is continuously improving their processes to automate …
While I was not responsible for selecting Oracle PeopleSoft HCM, I have found its user interface to be more intuitive, workflow is easier to follow and page performance is fast. For my organization, Oracle PeopleSoft HCM would have made more sense since they use other Oracle …
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is a well known product, with a history of being a successful tool for large organizations. It has a wide variety of features and tools available to assist human resources needs. As mentioned before though, for smaller organizations, it probably offers …
For organizations that are mostly based out of EMEA, SAP SuccessFactors is better at covering all the details about labor laws and employment management. But for organizations - mid to large - that span both NA and EMEA, Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is much better both in support …
Workday is a good system as well, but where Oracle PeopleSoft HMC out did it for us is that we have used their payroll services and felt that because of that, integrating this new system would be easier, and it was, and it made things much easier for us. It saved us time, which …
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is very user-friendly and one thing we like about Peoplesoft is that we have the flexibility to customize. Also, the overall support and engagement from Oracle was very good during the evaluation.
PeopleSoft customization has created an issue for customers to move to cloud while trying to keep the functions Oracle HCM cloud might be lacking. However, due to Oracle sunsetting the Taleo performance, we have started the cloud journey with the Oracle Talent Management cloud …
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM does have a lot of configuration options and works really well with complex organizations. Compared to Workday, PeopleSoft does have challenges with maintaining servers, patch updates, scalability, software support, and maintenance.
This is a world-class product and meets all our needs. It allows us the customization we need and provides a rich user interface for our users. We also like its integration capabilities and support for new technologies and tools. It integrates with our corporate infrastructure …
For my industry, ExakTime is incredible. The geo fencing, and clock-in locations and job types works incredibly well. I am likely to recommend because I have and I do recommend it constantly to others in my industry. I would say the only reason more people are not trying is it, is because they are of an older generation and using a virtual program can be daunting.
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is great for tracking most HR related information. The customization for the company is great, as well as the ability to integrate with a wide variety of complimentary software. For example, ours is integrated with our ATS (Taleo) for recruiting, Kronos for timekeeping, and Vemo for workforce insight reports. Given it's overall ability, it is probably overkill for smaller companies that may want a more focused HRIS that can handle everything without the need to integrate with additional software.
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is one of the best product and has helped implement the complex Business functionalities in the Higher Education business in a very streamlined process.
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM helped in moving from 34 different legacy system to one centralized system which helps immensely in maintaining the data and reporting purpose.
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM also helps immensely in data analytics and trend analysis which helps immensely in preparing for the resourcing and planning for the peak season in advance and be better prepared to handle the quarterly on annual activities.
Some modules need in-depth functional knowledge to work as configured. This can lead to some issues if set up is not configured properly.
Hard to recruit, train and retain technical and functional staff. Employers are always on the lookout for new people interested in PeopleSoft.
Customizations made by clients can also cause a hindrance to what Oracle can deliver. This is the major reason why it isn't able to catch up to the level of some of its other competitors.
I don't have any major problems with Exaktime so I do not see a reason to switch to something else. All the bugs and learning curves have been worked out so move to another company will take too much time of which we do not have. I have become an Exaktime expert and don't trust another software that guarantees geofencing timekeeping.
PeopleSoft was time-consuming to implement across the organization. We have not had any large-scale problems working in PeopleSoft and do not wish to change to another program. PeopleSoft is so simple to use and easy to learn that it does not make sense to switch to a different platform.
ExakTime is very intuitive and easy to use in some cases. From an ExakTime Mobile perspective, it is very simple and easy to use. The Clock In/Clock Out screen is intuitive and easy to learn. Similarly, the ExakTime Connect side is very smooth and simple for Time Card Detail viewing and Report usage, but it is sadly lacking in User Experience in Scheduling.
Oracle HCM has been around for more thab a decade and is a preferred package to use for Human capital management.Ease with which upgrades happen and how updates are pushed has come thru a long way of improvement and research over the years.Oracle has moved toward cloud based architecture which will help in its customers keep at par with current industry trends.
Typically, our systems are well maintained and do not go down. Once you've gotten to this point, the product is solid. Oracle technical teams are helpful to backend support (IT personnel in our case) and they help in realtime, making it efficient for our technical team to solve issues quickly if they need additional help.
I give this rating because I don't have any complaints in the area of performance. In my opinion the product's performance is right on the mark. In comparison to other systems I have used for the same purpose - recruiting, hiring and managing hires, I have found Oracle's performance to be the best. Oracle system flows better than any other recruiting system out there.
I have had problems outside of normal business hours and I get a return phone call from them pretty quickly. There has only been I think 1 instance that I waited for too long to be able to fix my situation.
Overall support has been positive and Oracle has gladly sent out representatives to meet with our teams in person. Despite sometimes sow and inadequate fixes, their willingness to try and meet face to face helps give them a better name in our organization. Sometimes their people do not understand unique needs of the industry, and it can be a challenge to explain that one size does not fit all. Finding the appropriate IT support for our unique requests has been hit and miss.
In my opinion, training in Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is arduous at best. In my experience, there are numerous issues with creating training environments and that makes practice in a sandbox costly. I prefer asynchronous simulated environment training for this reason, but that costs even more due to the development and testing time needed to create that training. eLearning is always there with only the need to keep it up-to-date.
It was a great training tool and provided all of the necessary information we needed to implement the sites for our clients. We were provided with a great deal of resources in regards to Oracle CRM. We didn't have any issues with the training at all. The only thing I would say would that there could be more FAQ's for users to read through
Gave a notice to all employees to come to work 15 min early on the day planned to implement the program. I had Spanish and English signs on how to down load the program and log in I showed them ALL how to log in and out and explained that they are responsible for reporting accurate time. I had them all sign a policy that lunch breaks were mandatory for all employees at least 30 min per day. This ensures safety on the roofs. We had a few people who did not have passwords to the app store and we had a few problems with android phones but most of them were on their way quickly. Most not happy about the change but I hope they see the benefit of it now.
When we implement Oracle and Taleo to different clients it typically goes pretty smoothly. When we do system upgrades we usually test the main issues the clients are having just to make sure there are not outstanding issues or errors. I don't have any examples where implementation went poorly. It typically goes well and clients are pleased with the final result. The only complaint would be the time it takes to implement
This is the first product like this that we've used. We've been using ExakTime for several years now, and I can't imagine going back to manual entry! I also wouldn't think there's any comparable product on the market that allows as much customization or would be as user friendly as ExakTime
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is not as good as SuccessFactors HCM. The look and feel of Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is still 'old school'. Cloud solutions can do more. SuccessFactors offers a great talent management, performance measurement, and employee development, while Oracle PeopleSoft HCM's core is employee records, benefits, and payroll.
In my opinion I rate this high because we have had no issues in this area and so that is why I give it such a high rating. There is no issue with the product's overall scalability. In my opinion this has been a positive from my team and client's view.
Improved payroll accuracy and employee time breakdown by type of work, greatly reducing the manual data tracking and time spent by employees on such tracking. More time for actual work!
Employees can interact via field notes while on the job, providing revisions to data entered if appropriate. Improves administrator efficiency as well.
Reports significantly improve time tracking, positively effecting job costing recordkeeping and evaluation.
We don't have a reliable way to measure ROI on PS HCM. We need to have a solid, reliable HR/Payroll/Time & Attendance system and PS HCM has met that need for more than 15 years.
We were able to avoid purchasing expensive time clock hardware and associated software for the campus by making use of the delivered Web Clock Time & Labor capability, which likely saved us several hundred thousand dollars, plus ongoing maintenance and replacements.
PC HCM annual maintenance is expensive and increases every year. Most of the enhancements delivered to us haven't been relevant to our business.
