Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup vs. Datto SaaS Protection

I have yet to identify a short coming with this solution. I have found it easy to configure, manage, and restore items when needed. Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup is also very proactive at managing our account and assisted us in validating the configuration for any new functions that need to be implemented.

In our experience and use of the SaaS service, it met all requirements we had. It worked really well in every single scenario that we used it for. Our company would work exclusively with Microsoft o365 so I can't speak for the Gsuite tooling. The one place I would have liked to see a bit of a facelift would be how it broke out the charge by users.

• Restores can be very grannual, for example to restore single email message
• Implemention of the product is quite easy and fast

• When performing a restore, the search filter & the mailbox filter button can be confused, depending on what you want to achieve.

• The reporting interface could present more information regarding issues
• When you look at each tenant account, listing the open tickets for that tenant would make it easier to communicate with Datto SaaS support.

in a few clicks the backup was running. The first restore was exiting since we didn't know what to expect.

Features wise products are pretty similar, but Barracuda is more cost effective when you take into account students in our organizations. This is the main reason we selected Barracuda, to be to protect all users cost effectively. Veeam might have more features, but the cost of licensing outweighs in favour of Barracuda.

We also use Barracuda Backup to backup Office 365 for some of our clients who also use Barracuda Email security products. Each product is a tool, and it is necessary to understand each client's needs before determining which product is best for them. Having said that, Barracuda Backup and Datto SaaS are the two best products in my opinion.

• Lost productivity when someone deletes a cloud stored item and we can retrieve it.
• Rouge creation of teams and no owners are assigned- we get notified.

• The Datto SaaS protection is exactly what we were looking for to enable my clients back up their cloud data (M365, OneDrive, Teams, etc.).
• All Datto options are designed such that minimum daily engagement with the product is necessary to still be able to easily pick up and leave, as is the case with this one.
• In addition to its ease of use and low cost relative to its high value, we appreciate how affordable it is for us as well as our clients. I highly recommend it.
