Considered Both Products
BizLibrary
Chose BizLibrary
Bizlibrary does the job for us at a much cheaper cost hence the company was able to save costs significantly using Bizlibrary.
Chose BizLibrary
Great affordable content and good service. We found that each had its specialties, but BizLibrary suited most of our needs the best that we could manage. They have been very responsive and very helpful.
Chose BizLibrary
BizLibrary offers so much more in their learning library in comparison to Glassdoor.
Chose BizLibrary
We selected BizLibrary because it had the most robust system that pertained to our employee base. We have found that that has resulted in users engaging in several areas in addition to those required. The price was better that some and worse that some, but we felt that it …
Chose BizLibrary
We found BizLibrary and really haven't felt a need to look any further. The only issue and it isn't a huge one is a lack of industry-specific courses. They are improving on this. I have never found another product that provides the variety and volume of learning tools that …
Chose BizLibrary
We have one department in our company using LinkedIn Learning (LIL). The benefit of BizLibrary (BL) over LIL is quality short learning content. I have a workforce that will not watch an hour and a half video course. With BL we have access to courses that come in small chunks. …
Chose BizLibrary
Most other companies do not offer the wide range of content that Biz Library has. You have to purchase different catalogs at different prices to get more modules. The pricing per employee is more expensive. The user interfaces for the other applications are usually a little …
Chose BizLibrary
They are two different forms of evaluation tactics. BizLibrary videos are more in the area of training, learning, monitoring, engaging, etc. JotForm is an evaluation after an internal training session done by the department.
Chose BizLibrary
We selected BizLibrary because it addressed the needs of training for both professional and hands-on positions within our organization. The ability for our team members to access it online ensures consistent training across multiple locations and provides all of our team …
Chose BizLibrary
The last time I checked has been a couple years ago and I do not recall the vendors. I do; however, recall a lot of them had you pay per course per employee and they didn't have the variety of courses I needed for our industry.
Chose BizLibrary
I used SkillSoft at my previous company and the content is great, however I found that more of the BizLibrary is mobile compatible. I am also able to purchase SkillSoft content through BizLibrary if there are courses I would like to leverage in addition to the BizLibrary content.
Chose BizLibrary
Although at least one other vendor offers more content, it appeared the source(s) were not resident to that vendor... i.e. they are accessing yet someone else's material for presentation as part of their platform. With BizLibrary, we know they have properly vetted all content …
Chose BizLibrary
We chose BizLibrary because it was the best value. Government budgets are tight, and we were able to find a resource that had flexibility for time-challenged managers and employees. BizLibrary content contained the breadth and depth of training needed for the organization. The …
Intellum
Chose Intellum
Intellum is in a class of its own. With the good referrals, I got from colleagues in my industry, I was aware that certain processes would be made easier by this software, and we were right. I have seen the positives that have come from this software. It easily takes the cake …
Chose Intellum
Adobe Captivate is a very complex product and more expensive as well. It does offer more features but at this stage, the organization doesn't require any more features than what is offered.
Chose Intellum
Intellum offers many customizable features and focuses on engagement more than solely content output. Intellum offers thorough reporting features that provide data needed to make informed decisions and business opportunities. Intellum was easy to learn how to use and navigate …
Chose Intellum
We ran an RFP process with a number of providers, and Intellum won the work.
Chose Intellum
Basically, it comes down to pricing in contract.
Chose Intellum
Intellum has a very flexible design for users which is a great aspect of this tool. This tool leverages the user by giving the capability to create content for different types of learning groups. I am happy with its services and also happy with the choice I have ever made.
Chose Intellum
Intellum does not measure up to Relias. Relias is much more user-friendly and offers course content relevant to, and meeting, state regulations. Intellum was cheaper than Relias; however, since Intellum has started charging for every little service, the cost is pretty …
Chose Intellum
I use Intellum as the company [e-learning platform] but I have [used] Moodle and Teachable in a personal way.
Chose Intellum
We used Lessonly internally, but we felt it was a far more complex system and beyond the scope of what we were looking for. The simplicity and ease-of-use made Intellum the right choice for us at the time.
Chose Intellum
Modern user experience, simple admin experience, dedication to staying up-to-date with today's online learner
Chose Intellum
Customization, access to data and learner experience is really the key points that makes Intellum stand out of the competition. Also, the constant improvement related to the LMS makes it even better overtime.

Moodle and Google Classroom were too basic in my opinion.
Chose Intellum
Intellum provided the best user and admin experience of any LMS we reviewed. It was optimal for our centralized approach, and included the modern requirements like powerful search, carousel UX, and intuitive administration.
Chose Intellum
Much more robust interface and customizable options for building content. Intellum provides enhanced user analytics, reporting capabilities, and user friendly communication strategies. We selected Intellum over Lessonly mainly because of the commitment to service, ingenuity, …
Chose Intellum
More customizable interface and in-platform content authoring.
Chose Intellum
Pretty even, Branier has interactive functions that are cool although not the same as Intellum.
Chose Intellum
I haven't used any other products like Intellum.
Chose Intellum
I was not the decision maker but as a user Intellum is a much easier platform to learn and use with all of the same functionality of the other LMS's I have worked with or considered.
Chose Intellum
Relias is so much better than Intellum, but Exceed was less expensive when we purchased it. I think they are closer in price now.
Relias really focuses on content and meeting our regulations.
Much easier to use.
Chose Intellum
We definitely prefer Intellum over Saba. Our users prefer Intellum over Saba, but my primary reason for preferring Intellum is the customer service we receive.

Since I only use BizLibrary as a source for content, I cannot speak to the program's suitability as an LMS, but it is an excellent solution for obtaining content that can be used in your own LMS. They offer a wide range of topics, the courses are just the right length, and the files never give me any issues exporting, loading into our LMS, and users rarely have trouble viewing the files. If you are looking for content to be added to your own LMS, BizLibrary is the way to go. What I know of it as an LMS, it seems like there would be content overload for a student. With so much content, it might be hard for a student to narrow down what they would like to take.

Intellum leads the field in reporting; something I didn't even know I really needed/wanted until we purchased this LMS. While I realize that most Learning Management Systems are designed to support online, auto-assigned content for people to complete on a device, 80% (sometimes more) of our training is delivered in person (we are a quarry company, and our learners do much better with Instructor Led Training). Sometimes it is difficult to find a workaround in Intellum that allows us the flexibility and consistency we require for managing our in-person learning needs.

Pros
  • Content is updated regularly so we are not assigning the same modules over and over. They also archive old content but provide plenty of advance notice before the modules are no longer available.
  • The account representatives provide good information on marketing the application to employees and increasing usage. The tools they share save me lots of time trying to come up with a theme or idea.
  • The support team responds very quickly. I rarely call them, but instead send messages when a problem occurs. A resolution is received in a very short amount of time.

  • Intellum is a highly easy-to-use and user-friendly tool that has great functionality for all of our current cases.
  • I have been using Intellum as a centralized form of learning management for all the employees.
  • Intellum has been offering excellent customer service and all the questions are answered on a timely basis.

Cons
  • There is some depth lacking around very-specific technical and analytics competencies. Though I understand that not every company has the same "big data" needs as we do in our industry, the basic tools or skill set is one which is easily transferable and a value add to other roles/industries.
  • It would be great to see an LMS built into the BizLibrary platform !
  • A suggestion made recently by one of our VPs (which I agree with) was that it would be nice if there was a section of more-advanced content in areas around leadership development, conflict management, operating across boundaries... the kind of critical thinking skills people need to advance their careers from an individual contributor level into management.

  • Hard to keep up with all of the new features and updates that are shared weekly.
  • Do not have a current solution for the ability to build live simulation experiences.
  • Reports generated can sometimes be slowed down if there are a lot of requests in the Exceed que for completion.

When reaching out for support, BL is quick to respond. Even if they do not have a solution - such as when lessons were retired without a replacement - they are always thoughtful and informed.

Return on Investment
  • When we explained that our long-term goal was to build an award-winning learning culture at our company the team at BizLibrary embraced that vision along with us. So the return on investment is better stated as return on experience. We now have a learning library chock filled with great courses that are easy to use. This is a boon for our growing learning culture.
  • Our owners look at the investments that they make in the company from the perspective of "Does it make sense for our business and our team?" The investments made in the learning technology used by the learning and talent development department are no different.

  • Our Onboarding Team LOVES showing new clients Intellum. It has allowed for the initial setup and day-to-day use training of our software to be handled by the LMS and the team members can really focus on the tough questions and best practices.
  • We have seen over 110% year-over-year growth of users on our learning center platform.
