Chose Cisco Desk Series
Organisation decided to went ahead with Cisco Webex Desk Pro becase of these following key differences: 1.- Microphone: Advanced noise-canceling microphone array vs Built-in microphone with Logitech MeetUp. 2.- Speakers: Superior Sound system vs Built-in speakerphone with Logite…
The other advantage of the product is that you could use it as a conference system as well as a screen for your PC. So I'm working with three screens and one of these screen is the Desk Pro, so I do not need another screen. So it's saving space in my desk and it's high quality. So this is the plus function.
The Logitech MeetUp thrives in a huddle / small room environment. The fish-eye lens on the camera has a very wide range of vision and allows participants to sitting close to the screen. The mic array does a good job picking up voices and the speaker has a balanced tone and sufficient volume. Not suitable for larger rooms. The Rally would be a better solution.
It gives the added function of having multiple lines we can set up called pickup groups or music on hold, so that way it best suits whatever facilities need to have. We can set that up and it works for them on different types of phones. We also have, since Covid, everyone has gone home to work from home and we have our knock who needs to reach out in case of anything. So they needed to have VPN capabilities. So our older models of the 7942s have VPN capabilities for them to be able to also work from home.
The device it self is incredible, but not allowing us to plug a computer devices such as mouse & keyboard direct in USB ports is a penalty. We'd like to bring up the laptop, open it, and start working.
I have not had to use support yet as our use of Webex Desk Pro is so new, but all the questions that I have had have been answered with such promptness and clarity that it is clear Cisco has a passion about this device and about providing high quality in all that they do. Their support is top notch and you will never need to fear when reaching out to them.
The Cisco Desk Pro is better than Poly Studio and Neat Bar with its AI-driven video and audio enhancements, cross-platform compatibility, and integrated 4K display with whiteboarding. It doubles as a collaboration hub with USB-C laptop connectivity and strong enterprise management tools. Overall, it delivers a more complete, professional experience out of the box.
While the other cameras offer similar solutions, we found for the price to features, the meetup met our needs the best. With the trio, we had issues with Poly's software which the meetup gets around by being able to plug directly into a PC. The panacast, while it worked very well, we would have still needed to pair it with the rest of the equipment for a full experience. With the meetup, we have only needed the meetup, the PC, and an iPad as a controller.
