Our other option was Oracle EBS and we went w/conga due to price and SF integration
Conga CPQ processes are more streamlined and easy to use and install. well structured study material and easy to follow instructions makes it even greater
The understanding and building of products is very easy compared to Salasforce CPQ. The Quoting process is much faster and easier. The functionalities provides for rules are much more compared to Salesforce CPQ. User friendly layouts is one of the best things about Conga CPQ. …
We use Conga CLM in conjunction with Conga CPQ to manage legal processes alongside quoting. It's how legal teams get looped into the sales cycle and assist in closing deals.
It has been too long for me to remember all the various CPQ products we evaluated. But our short list came down to Salesforce CPQ and and Conga CPQ. At the time, we considered them both pretty close to equivalent solutions for meeting our needs, so negotiation mainly came …
many similar features are there between the CPQ tools, but there are also features that are available in previous CPQ tool is missing in Conga CPQ, need improvisation.
Conga CPQ is better from the competition as it provides a good UI for the users to interact with which includes a lot of configuration items like attributes, options, bundles and standalones. Attribute based pricing is easy to setup and can be configured for price lists very …
Ariba contracts is still slightly easier to use, better interface and easier to manage as an administrator than Icertis. Ariba allows administrators the capabilities to make changes and updates with less reliance on support, allowing for independence.
In our organization, we chose Icertis over Ariba Contracts because of its comprehensive feature set and its advanced contract analytics capabilities. We found that Icertis provided us with more flexibility and customization options, which was important for our organization's …
The UI/UX could use some updating compared to the other systems mentioned. I was not a part of the selection process so I cannot speak about that process.
I think that all three of these platforms are solid products. I was not the decision maker in choosing Icertis over the other two products - that was handled by our IT department.
Conga CPQ is flexible in the price setup. We achieve a lot of customized pricing setups using CPQ. Usage flowing into billing works well also. The Conga cart is a huge painpoint for us. We bill each route and trip we run individually so we have a very large amount of manual, complex cart configuration.
Icertis is a great partner in managing contractual obligations and commitments ! The benefit really comes from the real-time integrations the ICI platform is able to partner with . We are able to save the company time, money, and resources by just knowing what credits are owed in real-time! Before we had the Obligation Management app, the process for tracking SLAs was really clunky and details were often missed. Now, it's a breeze!
Fully integrated with Salesforce.com. Allows for the seamless update of all objects on the SFDC platform. As primary quotes are updated, so to are the opportunities.
Supports integration with Avalara for Sales Tax and Docusign for E-Signature.
Supports the quoting of product that requires customization that results in a dynamic cost, MSRP and customer price.
Significant amount of R&D is being invested in to the platform. Many of the items on our wish list have already been incorporated as a standard feature or on the near term roadmap.
Contract Creation and Management: Icertis excels at streamlining the contract creation process. It allows users to easily create and manage contracts using pre-approved templates, which can be customized as needed. The platform also includes built-in e-signature capabilities, making it easy for all parties to sign and execute contracts electronically. This has greatly reduced the time and resources needed for contract management, and has enabled our organization to be more efficient in the contract creation process.
Contract Compliance: Icertis helps organizations stay compliant with regulatory requirements by providing real-time tracking and alerts for contract expiration dates, renewal dates, and other important dates. This feature has been particularly useful for our organization, allowing us to avoid costly contract renewals and stay compliant with legal requirements.
Analytics and Reporting: Icertis provides powerful analytics and reporting capabilities that allow organizations to gain valuable insights into their contract portfolio. These analytics and reports can be used to identify trends, track performance, and make more informed business decisions. This has been particularly beneficial for our organization, allowing us to better understand the performance of our contracts and make more strategic decisions.
The GUI design of Apttus is configurable but prescriptive. If you want a very specific look and feel, it will take some effort to do so. There have been some modern design updates recently using AngularJS. Check it out to see if it works for you.
Some features are unnecessarily limiting. For example, the inability to delete records or change fields later if it turns out there has been a mistake in how the contract was entered or the term was described. The Icertis form fields are NOT the contract record that is required to be kept. If someone makes an error, they should be able to fix it. The contract itself doesn't change, and that is the business record.
Too much is built on the assumption that the person requesting the contract is the one with the control or ownership of the contract. It would be better if the person to whom the contract is submitted for review was the owner in the system.
Not all requests will in fact end with a contract. Sometimes requests are started and the project is abandoned or put on hold for a period of time. More status fields that reflect the reality of contracting would be helpful.
It is a stable repository management tool but needs to upgrade its search engine to make it more efficient and user friendly. There can be an advanced search option which allows me to find agreements based on Contract numbers, Company name and Agreement Type as well as by affiliates
Conga CPQ is a great tool but lacks good support and [a] very limited knowledge base which doesn't include day to day errors which users face, thus leading us to support and take more time in turn. Also cart performance can be improved drastically which will enhance the user experience as the user doesn't have to wait for the pricing.
We had to use an outside vendor to implement the software and we paid them for a while during the initial choppy months. I was learning as I went along and then we could occasionally reach out to Salesforce if we really needed to. I think the support is there, but you obviously have to pay for it if the admin team doesn't have enough experience.
super dependent on how much money you want to pay. The general regular support can usually take around one to two weeks to get an answer and sometimes that issue is fixed but the underlying issue is not addressed even if you call out that it is a repeated issue. It appears that sometimes support is not really trained in how your instance is set up so there can be a bit of back and forth just to be able to get the appropriate support.
You need to have IT involved. The implementation partner downplayed the role that IT would have to play. We needed data migration, user set-up, customizations within Apttus for legacy migrations. Luckily we had a developer on our staff for Salesforce.com.
It has been too long for me to remember all the various CPQ products we evaluated. But our short list came down to Salesforce CPQ and and Conga CPQ. At the time, we considered them both pretty close to equivalent solutions for meeting our needs, so negotiation mainly came down to price of the solution, and estimates to implement. Now that we are migrating to Lightning, the balance has tipped very strongly in Salesforce CPQ's favour.
In our organization, we chose Icertis over Ariba Contracts because of its comprehensive feature set and its advanced contract analytics capabilities. We found that Icertis provided us with more flexibility and customization options, which was important for our organization's specific needs. Additionally, the AI-driven contract insights provided by Icertis have been extremely helpful in helping us optimize business decisions and realize the full potential of our contracts.Another important factor is that Icertis is industry agnostic, while Ariba Contracts has a stronger presence in specific industries. Icertis is more suitable for a wider range of organizations and that's why in our fictional organization we selected it.Overall, both Icertis and Ariba Contracts are powerful contract management software solutions, but Icertis's advanced contract analytics and its flexibility and industry agnostic approach make it a better fit for our fictional organization.
It cost the company almost $1million in 3 years of licensing. It then cost us the business to implement it in 2.5 years over $5 million dollars internally with resourcing involved to roll out globally. There was no ROI, that was just to implement it as the business continues to not adopt the product.
The adoption level of the product is ~25% of the business actually using the product.
Business areas ended up hiring and spending something near $150k/year in human resources to use the system for the sales team because of the low adoption.
Since implementing the platform, we have seen a significant reduction in the time and resources spent on contract management. This has allowed us to reallocate these resources to other areas of the business, resulting in increased revenue.
Additionally, Icertis has helped us to improve our entitlement and obligations management, allowing us to better track and manage our contract expiration dates, renewals, and other important dates. This has helped us to avoid costly contract renewals and stay compliant with regulatory requirements, thereby protecting us against noncompliance and penalties.
The platform's built-in analytics and reporting capabilities have also been valuable in helping us to gain valuable insights into our contract portfolio, allowing us to make more informed business decisions. Additionally, the platform's contract intelligence has helped us to shorten our sales cycles, which has enabled us to close more deals in less time.
