Our Safety group uses IRM for dashboards and OSHA 300 reporting. While I am do not work directly for the Safety group, I believe IRM has all of the capabilities needed to be a very successful product.
We already had Ventiv CE when we looked into these. We administer for a client that utilizes SIMS, which allows for less customization and slower load times, as well as less freedom of movement within the application. We also looked in to Origami Risk as an alternative and …
I have not met with any other RMIS vendors in a very long time. They reach out all the time; however there's no sense in wasting anyone's time. I am happy with Ventiv, there are times I may get upset because there is no response when I ask for something. But I chalk it up to …
RL Solutions/RLDatix was another company that we evaluated but they did not have anything Workers' Comp related at the time. Origami Risk was another company that we evaluated but they didn't have anything Workers' Comp related at the time and were very pricy. RiskMaster was …
Ventiv Claims is much more robust. Ventiv [Claims] is the best option in my opinion because it covers workers' compensation compliance in one system. [In] most other systems we have evaluated, you would have to also enlist a third party to comply with state and federal standards.
We have been using the iVos claims system for about 20 years before that we used PACASSO which was bought by another company. We did an RFP for the claims system in 2001 and chose the Valley Oak system, which has morphed into the current system we use with Ventiv.
Riskonnect is currently used, along with Ventiv Claims. Riskonnect was thought to be a more user-friendly database and better suited for conversion to other systems/products/departments. Ventiv Claims has a better overall claims administration system.
Ventiv Claims is a solid system. Ventiv offered the modules and system specs we were looking for. I have been working with VOS, and IVOS for many years, so I was very familiar with the platform.
Encircle is the best field software we have ever used. The designer must have worked in the field because every challenge we face has been addressed in the software. The ability to provide our Customers so many types of reporting in real time helps keep our company in the forefront of our Industry.
Ventiv Claims works beautifully for workers' compensation. It is easy to use for both field employees and Risk Management. The claim nearly creates itself by allowing the digital "Injury Reporting Form" the employee fills out when they report an injury to populate the claim itself. I have the employee's own description of the incident, which helps determine compensability. In addition, the support we receive from the Ventiv Claims team is second to none. We have a dedicated account manager who ensures our success and is always willing to step in and help whenever we have a question or want something to perform differently.
The Ventiv team is always ready to assist in solving complex issues in a very timely manner.
The entire Ventiv staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help via phone, email, web ex. Our Customer Success Manager, Doug H. is the best! And Cindy H., Machella G., Josette D., Duane J. ...just to name a few.
Love the fact that aspects of our daily tasks are streamlined and can be completed in one central location from claims management, to reporting, policy renewals, and payment processing.
Sometimes it takes a long time to load the job at the site.
As long as the internet signal is strong the software works beautifully. You can work offline in those cases where the signal is not good or not there at all.
We have been using Ventiv Claims for over ten years, and there is a wealth of information in the system. We have not seen any other system that compares to the Ventiv Claims environment.
Overall, the system is easy to use. Some fields are redundant within the system, which makes it a little confusing, but once you choose which to use, you can easily hide the other field from users so they do not enter information in the other field.
Overall the support is really good. There are only a few instances where the support could not figure out how to resolve issues we have encountered quickly.
During any training provided by Ventiv, the sessions are always two ways. It is not just a lecture that you sit through, they are generally question and answer type sessions that are very good at getting the point across. By keeping the sessions small and manageable, Ventiv can provide the training necessary so that all of the users feel comfortable.
I was not a part of the implementation so I am not able to speak much to this. From my understanding Ventiv was very involved in the process of making this as seamless as possible and provided great support. For the integrations that we have had Ventiv has done a great job of answering all questions and helping to resolve any issues.
RL Solutions/RLDatix was another company that we evaluated but they did not have anything Workers' Comp related at the time. Origami Risk was another company that we evaluated but they didn't have anything Workers' Comp related at the time and were very pricy. RiskMaster was the product we used many moons ago for managing Workers' Comp software. We selected Ventiv because of their history and how long they had been in the industry with Workers' Compensation.
We pay about $100K per year in support/update fees it has been very difficult to justify these fees as we don't use support much and many of the updates simply brought the product to an approximate level to what we thought we were purchasing in the first place.
Self-hosting and owning the software rather than SaaS is an incredible value.
