Ventiv Claims

In the Risk Management Services Department, we administer benefits for a pool of self-funded municipal entities. Workers Comp, Property/Casualty, and Underwriting all work with Ventiv. Ventiv is our claims management system, reporting system, and policy/underwriting system.

Full claims suite that includes compliance processing, correspondence and document management. This allows us to cut out several vendors to manage document processing and compliance.

We use this product for claims management and processing with easy of use. The functionality of the system allows us to track each claims status and know when we need more information or when it’s time for us to proceed with certain actions. The main screen allows for searching through multiple different ways in the case that information we need isn’t being given to us by our members.

Ventiv is the claims application for my Workers' Compensation Joint Powers Authority. We insurer 90 plus school districts and over 43,000 covered employees. In the event one of these covered employees are injured on the job, we administer there workers compensation benefits via Claims Enterprise or IVOS. IVOS is also the claims application for our Liability JPA which has over 140 member school districts.

• Has allowed for timely provision of benefits to our injured employees.
• Allows for completion of all state mandated reporting.
• Business Rules are very help in structuring and setting into place good claims practices.

We use Ventiv Claims for managing and adjusting all of the City's auto and general liability claims. At one time, it was used to handle workers' compensation claims, but we no longer use that function because we brought on a third party administrator.
