Chose HireRight
HireRight is easier to use and had faster results. I have also had less issues on the candidate side when it comes to them completing the electronic release form or disputing an adverse action decision.
HireRight is not on the same level as One Source Background Checks. They provide more detailed reports and background check history. They are able to customize your background checks. They also integrate well with our ATS. One Source also holds background check data on file for …
I enjoy HireRight much more as I am able to have more customizable features in the application as well as run reports that allow me to have increased efficiency in the hire process and know where all employees are in the process at any point in time. We selected HireRight due …
Because of the integration option, it is easy to setup compared to its alternative. The hiring process is very easy and it keeps the records of every employee safely. It provides scalability and flexibility so cost can be reduced and the number of customization options provided …
We have not used any other products that HireRight. Our company tends to stay with the sources, software, and/or companies that works for us. Since HireRight has worked for us, we have not tried another source.
We used vectorvms for resume submission for the state client contract requirements we will get from the State of Ohio,Ma,VA,Ga and Iowa .Vectorvms is very easy to use software and used by multiple MSP for its program statewide
My company wanted to change who did our background checks after the equifax hack, and this forced us to try a new vendor and HireRight was the first one we came across that we ultimately picked. Why we picked them initially was due to the automation, the cost, the customer …
We used another background check company through Paychex. Both companies had the same features. We now use HireRight because it is incorporated with our ADP package.
We initially selected HireRight on a trial basis. Their pricing structure, their response time, and the quality of their reports convinced us to stay with them. I would highly recommend them.
First Advantage had me all over the screen trying to figure out how to maneuver around there website. I still haven't completely figured it out. While HireRight was easy to use and self explanatory. I've been using HireRight for so long now adjusting my eyes to any different …
We selected HireRight because it does what we need, usually in a timely manner for a fair price. We use other programs when it is required for a specific project and must be used.
I have worked with over 20 background vendors, and believe HireRight is somewhere in the middle of the pack. My colleagues have had more hands-on experience with them lately, and have informed me things are getting better when it comes to verifications and customer service. …
We have used 2 or 3 other background check companies and I like HireRight because they are the easiest to get in touch with someone when any help is needed. The website is user friendly and you can easily check what is pending, what is completed, etc., across users. They are …
We use Supervision for MVR checks. HireRight also will return information to confirm if it was a serious incident. This helps to make sure things match up.
We have utilized First Advantage in the past and the issues were with using a paper process, the HR team needing to input all of the potential new hire's information, and long delays in turn around times on applicant screens. With HireRight, they have removed these obstacles …
I do not want to name drop the vendor we used previously, but when we were evaluating new solutions, HireRight was the only option we seriously considered. A big part of our decision to go with HireRight was that it integrated nicely with our applicant tracking system, which …
HireVue isn't really in the same category at the other programs I listed so it's hard to compare them because they are all leveraged for very different purposes. HireVue was selected (to my knowledge) for its ease of use and the video interview recording function and I haven't …
I was not initially a part of the selection process for HireVue. Skype for Business is often recommended by the business since it is the current internal messaging platform. Unfortunately with Skype for Business we are not able to interview external candidates, evaluate …
HireVue only allows 4 people total for Live Interviewers. A lot of managers ask to set up WebExs to include a larger interview team. However, HireVue is better than WebEx due to the fact that you can send out OnDemand tests to the candidates prior to submitting them to the …
I have used Rivs in the past and really thought it was a great tool to use. However, HireVue has more case studies, allows you to engage with the community of Hirevue and is always giving pointers/tips. I felt a little on my own with Rivs unless the rep was calling and checking …
We went with HireVue because they are great at what they do! They have great support and truly care about the customer's brand. If you don't have a brand yet, or are just starting out - that is great too! They help you. The other companies did not do that. As a bonus they offer …
HireVue is by far a much better product which is more user friendly and reliable. Excellent customer service. You come for the product you stay for the service.
Gray Peak doesn't even compare to HireVue. Where I think Gray Peak is a 2 or 3 out of 10, I am absolutely convinced that HireVue is a 10! Yes there are probably some tweaks for HireVue but this product is truly amazing. It impresses me each day with the volume that we are able …
We looked at Green Job Interview and another company but I don't recall their name. HireVue was more expensive in cost but overall value was better. They are a larger company with more support and have been established longer.
We haven't reviewed too many other competing products in this space. The feature set of HireVue addressed most of our needs fairly early on in our evaluation process.
ApplicantPro is a good recruiting program but HireVue does it better when it comes to seeing how the candidate really is. So instead of using ApplicantPro's interview software we have been able to use both of them hand in hand which has been a really nice combination. …
We prefer HireVue due to the ease of use and the recording function as compared to Skype. Zoom is a platform one of our clients elected to go with and already had in place, I can't say we fully evaluated it, however, my limited knowledge would say the two are comparable.
As this is my first time in recruiting, I personally have not used similar products to HireVue. I can image that HireVue's simplicity and user friendly application is definitely something that makes this tool unique compared to other companies. HireVue also has excellent …
HireVue is much more innovative and new compared to the aforementioned products. I enjoy using HireVue because it's new software, and it is constantly changing and being updated.
I have never used any other one-way products, so I can't compare. We also don't use HireVue for live interviewing purposes only for one-way interviewing. I would be interested in seeing how one-way interviewing compares to live interviewing. In addition, how HireVue compares to …
Our current cost point is appealing and we have only received positive feedback from users and hiring managers. No real reason to switch to another company at this time.

Chose HireVue
N/A - we've only used HireVue. We've talked to others at conferences but their product couldn't compare to HireVue so we didn't go any further with them.
Originally we liked the idea of having video interviews, but found we lost some good applicants because of it. This is strictly because of our particular hiring process. HireVue can possibly be very successful for other industries.
We needed more security as far as hiring new people was concerned. HireRight becomes the right candidate for this position. The best thing about this is partnered with HR services and integrations with other tools that make it easy to keep records and set up. However, its UI is outdated, they can update it to improve performance and user friendly.
HireVue was very well suited for my interviewing process with my current company for both my initial hire and my lateral move within the organization. It was very convenient given where I am geographically located to interview with our corporate office in Rhode Island. It provided the convenience of interviewing remotely for the opening posted.
We've never had an issue with integration, this seems to be working well. It's a strength because we can't afford time lost on IT issues.
It is nice that they have an online instant chat function, for when we need answers ASAP, so we can continue with the process and appease our customers
The background checks themselves are aesthetically pleasing, which makes it easier to review results.
OnDemand Interviews is a great feature that lets you set up video/multiple choice/codevue questions. You send it to the candidates and they are able to take the interview on their time and in the comfort of their own home.
HireVue and HireVue Pro apps. This is a great tool for manager and candidates to take/review interviews on the go.
HireVue has the ability to upload candidates via a CVS file, which is nice when you have tons of applicants.
Customer Service. They lack here. It takes too long to resolve issues, especially with your assigned account manager. I have to continue to ask for an update and sometimes, I do not get a response back.
Back Up Account Managers - The account manager you are assigned may not be available. We need to be provided a list of people we can contact in the event that our POC in unavailable.
I would like to be able to add more than one person to a video at once. Yes it's easy now, I just think it would be easier to blast through all of the info then hit "save."
Not sure why it says "save" instead of "send" when sending out a video interview.
I'm really trying to find weaknesses and that is why tried to be picky... If I had one more weakness I'd say I want a way to delete old users from showing up. Archiving is not good enough. There should be a delete button.
There are various ways you are able to call HireRight. They do have busy times and so the live chat is helpful because you are able to leave the chat open until an agent is available (and do work than being tied to a phone).
HireRight is not on the same level as One Source Background Checks. They provide more detailed reports and background check history. They are able to customize your background checks. They also integrate well with our ATS. One Source also holds background check data on file for 2 years. We also use them for an OSCC contractor certifier, which I don't think HireRight does.
HireVue isn't really in the same category at the other programs I listed so it's hard to compare them because they are all leveraged for very different purposes. HireVue was selected (to my knowledge) for its ease of use and the video interview recording function and I haven't had any major issues with the platform so I think it performs fine, but there's always room for improvement.
Improved candidate experience. Our process is now more modern and appealing to candidates, as well as easier to complete.
Pre-employment screening times have improved, reducing our time to hire. This helps us get new hires onboarded and working faster, which is a win for our new hires and our location managers.
Online document retention keeps confidential information secure, and reduces the paperwork and clutter we are forced to manage on-site.
Time to fill has been reduced/ shortened since we are able to screen more candidates quicker.
Time to schedule has been shortened as candidates are able to self-schedule their own interviews with a hiring manager; no more chasing people through phone calls to coordinate multiple schedules.
Candidate reach has been greatly enhanced - we can reach more candidates than we ever could with traditional phone screening.
