We found Inbox25 to be the most cost-effective marketing automation platform with the best possible integration to Sugar CRM. We evaluated three additional products. Only one was comparable in scope and integration but the cost was 30% more.
Higher quality email addresses, Super easy to use and implement, great customer support, the quality of the emails that Opensend provides is much higher than that of their competitors, which helps with deliverability and revenue. IT also makes sure that we aren't sending emails …
Retention.com is another program we've used before. Their team is not as helpful, the algorithm for profiles isn't as good, we ran into more spam issues, and the pricing model isn't nearly as competitive.
Opensend is a set-it-and-forget-it money making machine that runs 24/7 in the backend. If we really wanted to, we could have just installed it and forgotten about it, but once we started seeing the results we realized we could be doing a lot more with this tool. Thankfully …
This is my first product review, but I've checked out other anonymous email collection platforms and would say that Opensend is the most promising option.
I've selected Opensend between others because they're unique in their own dashboard and also the ways of identifying potential leads. It helps us clarify how big of an audience we have and also the content we're consistently posting/promoting. It's really good overall!
It's a great choice for users of SugarCRM, which doesn't integrate particularly well with many other marketing automation platforms. It's less appropriate for users of other CRMs (particularly Salesforce) which has well-baked connectors for HubSpot, Pardot, et al.
Opensend is great for anyone who is driving paid traffic to their site and looking to drive incremental revenue, if you have a meaningful amount of traffic coming to your website from paid media or press, i would recommend it. If you don't have a lot of traffic to your site, it might not be as valuable
Inbox25 is in a growth phase and has transformed their product pretty fast. With that comes an increased need to continually learn how to leverage new features.
Tutorials and product documentation exist but it is relatively minimal. They overcome this with personalized, one-on-one training that is recorded for future review using a project management platform.
Inbox25 has expanded beyond Sugar CRM to include Salesforce.com integration. I'm not sure if they plan to add integrations to other applications but they are positioned well for growth.
Their algorithm for profile engagement could be improved. Sometimes the overall engagement of profiles sent from Opensend is rather low (to be expected). They've been great about resolving that problem, so it's really a non-issue.
The platform is pretty straightforward, and when we do need help, the Opensend team is very knowledgeable and helpful from the get-go. They really want you to succeed with their service. Opensend is also consistently innovating and adding new features taking into account customer feedback. We are looking forward to taking advantage of some of the newer tools, specifically the new postal tool being rolled out. That will work really well for our customer base.

If we really wanted to, we could have just installed it and forgotten about it, but once we started seeing the results we realized we could be doing a lot more with this tool. Thankfully Opensend has that same approach and mindset for their own product and that's a major factor for why we have stayed with them.
We have successfully moved cold suspects to leads and leads to opportunities, and opportunities to customers with Inbox25. We are just now starting to realize more value given that we've only recently started using the more advanced drip marketing and lead scoring features.
When we used the pay-as-you-go version we were paying just pennies per email and remained CAN-Spam Act compliant. It was harder to quantify the ROI then but it was apparent that email marketing was working and moving prospects from one sales stage to another. It was also very useful for re-engaging prospects and promoting products and services to customers.
Our total investment in the advanced edition is less $30,000 annually and we expect the ROI to be less than one year. It could have been sooner if we'd have been more thoughtful in our initial implementation.
