LinkedIn Talent Hub
Chose LinkedIn Talent Hub
Smart recruiters is a smaller tool, we have been working with two tools alongside, Linkedin being a larger and main one, as it is able to provide more resources when it comes to technical difficulties and support. SR tool has a more customizable interface and partners working …
Chose LinkedIn Talent Hub
Association of the LinkedIn Talent with LinkedIn is a great plus. This association makes this talent search tool more trustworthy, and resourceful. We can also assess the market and what other recruiters are doing, whom are the candidates preferring. The LinkedIn networking is …
Chose LinkedIn Talent Hub
We actually use all 3 recruiters. LinkedIn fills in the gap of making it very easy to find professionals for free. It's easy to communicate with the candidates right within the app. The only con with LinkedIn is that there are a lot of fake accounts and sometimes they will try …
SmartRecruiters
Chose SmartRecruiters
We've used a couple of different platforms in the past before settling on SmartRecruiters (I can't remember all of the names). SmartRecruiters seems to have a decent balance between costs, tools, and the amount of work required to learn and adopt the platform. Every platform …
Chose SmartRecruiters
SmartRecruiters would rank an average 7 out of 10, with some specifics ranking 10 and some ranking 3 in comparison.
Chose SmartRecruiters
We also use CareerBuilder. Several of the users on our Team, myself included, have discontinued their use of CB in favor of solely using SR.
Chose SmartRecruiters
Clean, easy, and sleek. The tool is a great option to add to your belt in the recruiting process.

In my opinion and based on my experience, if you are looking to hire professional "white collar" skill sets and establish yourself in that arena you must use LinkedIn. It is best to be very active and connect and reach out via InMails and emails to your skills sets and the groups they are in.

SmartRecruiters has allowed us to enable our hiring managers to self-service their requirements for recruitment, simplifying our internal processes. We have visibility of recruitment requirements and significantly improved our approvals process using the software. We have been able to configure our hiring processes relevant to different areas of the business. Collaboration for our hiring teams (managers and business partners) is simple and effective. Candidate experience is enhanced and engaging. The platform has brought many benefits to our Resourcing business partners and hiring managers. We have visibility and insightful data which has integrity, allowing us to make informed business decisions. Our offer process has seen significant improvements and provides an engaging candidate experience, previously this was a labour-intensive process that is now streamlined and automated. The recently launched Community for collaboration amongst customers is very helpful and insigtful for how other people are using the software and exploring ideas with each other

Pros
  • LinkedIn Talent provides customized templates that can be used to quickly reach out to candidates via LinkedIn InMail.
  • The pipeline feature allows recruiters and/or human resource directors to build, track, and manage candidates. It lets you organize candidates into folders and create lists with reminders.
  • You can share your activities, projects, searches, candidate profiles, and applicant notes with other people throughout the company.

Cons
  • InMails. The con of sending InMails is that many times you don’t get a response back. Linkedin should have a feature where a recruiter can know if their InMails was even viewed. Better mechanisms need to be put in my place for the InMails feature.
  • Cost. LinkedIn recruiter is not cheap. I wish the cost could be a bit lower especially if there are multiple users.
  • Connectifier is not helpful for global candidates. Many of the candidates that I reach out to are international. Unfortunately, Connectifier isn’t helpful in obtaining email addresses for these international candidates.

  • Not having feature of referral data, who has referred
  • Another problem is that in [the] emails section it shows 'company name' field will show as Smartrecruiters vs. the name of our agency that will make confuse to [candidates]
  • Major problem of this is that it does not support api in the free version

I thoroughly enjoy using SmartRecruiters and have shared this feedback with those responsible, however I am not a decision maker in the process. I understand that at the moment there are lots of factors affecting the economy and business outcomes, so I cannot comment with certainty on the renewal of SmartRecruiters at this time, not involved in the confirmation of renewal.

Usability
The LinkedIn Talent Hub is a very easy to use and widely known by other users. If someone is hiring, its very visible and accessible. I have never had trouble posting exactly what I need. However, I have had trouble finding the candidate I am looking for. It tends to not bring in a lot of candidates

I would give this rating as overall it a great combo of all your problems. With just one click you can get away with all your problems such as recruitment, candidate update, Interview scheduling, updating candidates, reports of a job perspective, and recruiters perspective. Usability is worth of SmartRecruiters. The dashboard is also very attractive and once you open you will love working on this platform again and again. I would say it is the best platform to use once for smooth work in your organization.

Support Rating
I'm giving this a 6 only because in my 1 year at my current position we have had 3 different reps. The first was unresponsive and passive when attempting to help us. When she came out to do a demo on a new feature launch it was scattered and all over the place. The person we have now is great and is super helpful when ever we need him.

Response is normally very fast. There are times, however, when the response is not useful. It is difficult to work with the reporting and the offer letter templates, and the front line support agents usually are not very knowledgeable. Second, if there are any issues with integrations, the regular support agents will not be able to help you. You'll have to create that ticket and ask them to escalate it to an integration specialist.

Alternatives Considered
LinkedIn Talent Hub is a really good product in theory and mostly in use. I just feel like listening to more of the feedback and reviews from customers this could be a top of the industry product. Indeed and especially Monster and Careerbuilder are just out dated and not relevant. LinkedIn Talent Hub has a great market opportunity to jump in and become a leader.

We previously used SnapHire which required a different account for each of our brands, and SmartRecruiters has been a vast improvement for our business in integrating our brands onto one applicant tracking site. This improves both the recruiter and hiring manager experience, and is much more user-friendly for tracking job approvals and postings, and tracking candidates through their applications.

Return on Investment
  • Positive ROI because it didn't cost us anything (yet). The system was chosen (not by me but I went in with an open mind) because they offered it to us for Free. The team was desperate and made a hasty decision based on cost and lack of understanding what an ATS should be capable of doing.
  • Negative ROI because it was a big waste of my time implementing it and finding workarounds and working with their support team on fixes and product participation meetings for them to improve the system
  • Negative ROI - it's been really buggy with us. I don't even know if or what jobs are in sponsored slots and there is no way for me to confirm this in the system. Even when I click on each job to view, it's giving inconsistent info to the point I don't trust it. I cannot run a report to identify which ones are being sponsored or not. This may be hurting us a lot more than I know.

  • SmartRecruiters has unified the approach of my recruiting team, so everyone is processing their jobs the same way, which gives me the confidence that my payroll system will be loaded correctly.
  • SmartRecruiters has offered me integrations with electronic signatures, background checks, and job boards so that I don't have to manage multiple platforms to see recruitment/hiring information.
  • SmartRecruiters has given me the ability to see at-a-glance how we are doing in recruiting and our application volume to see how well our efforts are working.
