Considered Both Products
Microsoft Teams Rooms
Chose Microsoft Teams Rooms
Microsoft Teams Rooms has been more cost effective for us than using a separate subscription from another vendor. With our microsoft 365 tenant already in-place we've streamlined our configuration and licensing into a single management portal which really suites us and the way …
Chose Microsoft Teams Rooms
Microsoft Teams Rooms is very similar to WebEx and Zoom. Webex is no longer an option, and we use Microsoft Teams Rooms more frequently than Zoom simply due to its functionality and ease of use for our team. It is also more cost-effective than the other options, which is a very …
Chose Microsoft Teams Rooms
I consider MTR better because it first allows integration with all the Microsoft apps and is more cost-effective, considering all the included services such as the Office app, Cloud Storage, and email.
Chose Microsoft Teams Rooms
Limited customization options vs Microsoft Teams Rooms.
Chose Microsoft Teams Rooms
Microsoft Teams Rooms is better than Yealink conferencing phones but not better than Webex app or the Webex conferencing devices. Microsoft Teams Rooms have better system features than Yealink devices. Yealink lacks in variety of features and also focuses more on core …
RingCentral Meetings
Chose RingCentral Meetings
When I was using other options, they were more difficult to schedule appointments and didn't include as many features. However, that was several years ago and they might have caught up by now.
Chose RingCentral Meetings
much better, more intuitive easier to use, you can tell RingCentral Meeting has had many iterations and updates, vs the rest of the field which are newer in this collaboratoin space and do not possess the sames features and functionality needed for most enterprise customers …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
BlueJeans was not a good experience for us. The only demand from such a tool is to provide us with the best quality of video that must not be grainy, blurry, or distorted but BlueJeans’s provides quite a pathetic kind of video quality that contains all these traits and was …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
Again, RingCentral Meetings is a backup tool. We've had some failures with other tools such as Zoom, but much less consistent. It is an alternative tool for our end users and customers alike to have access to. Would I suggest this meeting tool. I guess it depends on cost and …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
RingCentral Meetings seems to have better bandwidth and background noise management. The video in RingCentral Meetings always seem smoother and "cleaner" even for participants in low bandwidth endpoints. Screen sharing is easy to use and annotate as well as passing presenter …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
We use RingCentral Meetings only because our consultants have standardized on it and it allows us to not have to manage temporary accounts for those consultants in our local meeting platform. It's not a bad platform, just not what our organization has standardized on. Our …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
RingCentral Meetings is Zoom, in a RingCentral package. If you're familiar with Zoom, then you're familiar with RingCentral Meetings.

Microsoft Teams has made a lot of improvements, and with the chat/team integration and tight integration with Office 365, it really is the best …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
Feature wise, matches anything I've tried. Generally works well. Only issue is the loading app, sometimes can conflict with other common applications. However, should no conflicts arise, then it is an easy to use, intuitive application that can be used by any sort of user, or …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
We chose RingCentral Meetings because we already use them for our telephone system. We used to use GoToMeeting but dropped it once RingCentral Meetings was launched. It lacks a few features of GoToMeeting but overall it's easier to use and I feel provides a better quality of …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
We use Zoom the most. We also use Microsoft Team and Google products. I think by and large all of the other services are currently better than RingCentral Meetings. Perhaps in time since RingCentral is a good company they will have more features. Zoom support is awesome. In …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
We chose [RingCentral] Meetings because its integrated with our phones and makes it user friendly being all on one platform for our company. Meetings are streamlined with calendar events linked, all contacts are integrated, and it's easy to add someone who is outside of the …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
Because RC Meetings integrates seamlessly with our entire communications system, it is highly superior to its competitors! Not only did the company save on cost and management complexity, but the users were also able to use a single tool to provide all their communications …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
My default is Cisco WebEx calling mostly due to the fact that users outside my organization are most familiar with that platform, but RingCentral is definitely catching up and I continue to use it more frequently. As my familiarity grows with the platform, the more comfortable …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
Ring Central is a great tool for larger teams. It's built on Zoom's platform, which is simply a very well made tool. People complain a lot about glitches and issues with Google Hangouts, but with Zoom and Ring Central, all we ever hear (and experience) are good things. So far …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
Ring Central is a more comprehensive and streamlined solution compared to the other options out there. Additionally, it seems to be more reliable and has less breakdown or issues as well. It allows you to do many of the same capabilities as the other rival products out there, …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
RingCentral Meetings wins against the competition [for us] in its
*Cost (and subsequent ROI)
*Features
Chose RingCentral Meetings
RingCentral Meetings has all the standard features one comes to expect from a virtual meeting software. The subscription prices are far for what you get and the service is reasonable. However I still feel the Cisco Webex interface is more streamlined and easier to use. I have …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
As a consulting company, we often have to adapt to our customers' needs in communication - which can mean using whatever system they're already on. Most of the time, they come around to preferring RingCentral Meetings over whatever they're using, and we've found it's a great …
Chose RingCentral Meetings
RingCentral Meetings is a good alternative to these if you have service setup through RingCentral already.
Chose RingCentral Meetings
I see no reason to go with GoToMeeting because you can't bundle it with anything else. Skype for business comes with some versions of Office 365, and that might make a suitable replacement for RingCentral meetings if you already need that level of office. I would personally …

Microsoft Teams Rooms has been pretty effective for our business. It has allowed multiple members of our team to connect remotely and stay on the same page with any changes, etc. A few times, the screen sharing option didn't work great, but otherwise, the product has been beneficial.

I would recommend RingCentral for any business that looking to make the jump to Voice over IP and also want business essentials like video meetings all in one app. RingCentral Meetings integrates very well with its other communication tools which makes it very easy for a business to manage their communications in a single platform. The only scenario I see where RingCentral Meetings not being a good fit is if a business will be using video meetings as a marketing tool where they need extra marketing features like lead form captures and notification emails to be sent out.

Pros
  • Camera view selection is a nice feature which allows remote users to choose the camera feedback to select for better experience.
  • Live reactions like hand claps, thumbs up, raised hands, etc can be used to indicate to presenters that a meeting attendee has a question. This is cool.
  • We can connect our laptop seamlessly to the Microsoft Teams Rooms to share our content or presentation which makes things very simple.

  • Screen sharing is wonderful in [RingCentral] Meetings. It makes presenting easy.
  • Being able to mute and turn off cameras when necessary is a nice feature too.
  • Switching from the computer to the cell phone when on the go is a nice benefit.

Cons
  • Improve AI Camera to frame participants in large rooms
  • no translation captions in real team for multilingual teams
  • new elements to introduce quizzes and help with engagement
Read full review
  • It's easy to end up accidentally trying to run multiple meetings under the same account, which can cause churn and confusion for participants
  • Interacting with people outside the organization is sometimes hard because RingCentral Meetings requires them to download and install software - there's no plugin-free way to get in to the conference (other than just dialing in via audio)
  • A lot of our end users are repeatedly confused with how to select phone vs computer audio, so we end up losing time at the start of a meeting dealing with echoes on the line
  • There's only two roles in a meeting - Host and Guest. When we have large meetings with remote team members, it'd be useful to be able to manage subgroups of participants - i.e. Team Members vs Executives, to be able to control who gets muted or who gets dropped at different times in the call.
  • From time to time we encounter notifications of instability of the underlying internet connection, but then RingCentral isn't able to tell us if the issue was on our local network, intermediary sources, or their main service.
  • Because RingCentral Meetings is just a white label of Zoom, RingCentral's support for the platform is more limited than for their other services.

We are grandfathered into an unlimited toll-free minutes plan with RingCentral, so as long as we have them as a VoIP provider, we get Meetings free. If they ever start to charge us for using meetings as well, we'll drop that part in a second and switch to Skype for Business, which we currently have as well part of our Office 365 package.

Usability
Microsoft Teams Rooms really 'cleans up' the old clunky way to deliver a meeting. Too often we've seen issues with scheduling and staff not confident to use the equipment in front of an audience. Microsoft Teams Rooms has provided all the tools our staff need and didn't know that they needed and provides them in one familiar solution.

Extremely intuitive and easy to use. Very minimal onboarding needed (ie training ) as most clients implement and use RingCentral Meetings in their environment within weeks of implementing it. This is the power of cloud computing where as applications are feature rich, flexible. Also, RingCentral can be branded with other technologies with their skins.

RingCentral is a great tool for everyone interested in making animations. The thing that appealed to us most about it is that it is very simple to use and works with much perfection. Like lip-synchronization goes so well with the character as soon as we add voice-over in it. Also, we can add characters and scenes without any hardship. We highly recommend this software.

Microsoft Teams Rooms has been more cost effective for us than using a separate subscription from another vendor. With our microsoft 365 tenant already in-place we've streamlined our configuration and licensing into a single management portal which really suites us and the way in which we work as an organization. Managing meetings is just so much better through Microsoft Teams Rooms than any of our experiences with other vendors.

We use RingCentral Meetings only because our consultants have standardized on it and it allows us to not have to manage temporary accounts for those consultants in our local meeting platform. It's not a bad platform, just not what our organization has standardized on. Our primary platform for meetings is Microsoft Teams, which integrates very well with our other business software.

Return on Investment
  • We save time in transportation having more online meetings.
  • We save resources doing webinars for our customers without paying additional licenses.

  • Reduced time spent managing technical support issues (instead of customers describing problems, they can screen-share to help with the diagnosing process)
  • Whiteboarding has been exceptionally helpful to sketch new concepts and save them for future reference
  • Lack of capability to remote-control smart phones has limited it's screen sharing functionality for us, requiring the need for another software subscription to utilize that function.
