Sage 300cloud is a great cloud/web based option when stacked against Sage 300 and Sage 100 Contractor. These other two systems are on premise and require licenses to access. Sage 300cloud can be accessed from any web page and is a pay as you go model. Oracle JD Edwards …
Sage 300 was selected before I came to this company, these are others I've previously used or evaluated. I'm happy overall with Sage 300, as it does what it needs to, even if it's not super fancy. The functionality is as robust as you need it to be; it's scalable.
We have been an Accpac company since day one (1999). We have not tried a competitor, although some of our 'sister organizations' have switched to Altus Dynamics recently. There are also some Great Plains users that we talk to once in a while, but at this time we are not …
Sage offers more features allowing your business to continue to grow and develop while utilizing the same software. Also, the ability to manage the users is more simplified in Sage.
As an accountant I find that Sage 300 works logically from an accounting perspective as opposed to other accounting packages that are aimed at users without an accounting background. MAS 500 is an excellent and powerful product but is not appropriate for the company size that I …
The cost was less and it was able to allow donation tracking easily.

Sage deals with Canadian issues much better than the products above. It has better multicurrency capabilities. It address Canadian taxes especially GST input tax credits better. It has better options for Canadian payroll and Candian payments including EFT and Credit Card …
Xero had limitation of 300 staff ; we had more than 300 staff on our payroll ADP - presentation was not good - did not give us confidence it can perform - from previous experience ADP has not done well in other organisation. Sage HR was able to deliver our needs and was a bit …
Bamboo is more versatile for large enterprises where as Sage HR is better for smaller/mid-size businesses. Both systems have very similar features and functionality. Sage HR has great tools for companies with multiple locations which has benefitted us in tracking employees' …
We selected CakeHR because it was plug and play. There was no long "onboarding" process or extra required "onboarding" fees. We didn't require the job posting module, but rather the asset and time tracking sections. We had the entire system up and populated within 10 days.
I searched for plenty of HR applications. Some wanted a ridiculous amount of money but didn't have many features. One wanted us to move our payroll over to them which wasn't an option. As a smaller to mid-sized company 50-200 employees, we have a central accounting dept that …
CakeHR (for me) had the best combo of price, features, and functionality for what the business needed. It had transparent pricing unlike some of the others and although many are quite similar, for me one of the standout things is the constant updates and strong customer service.
For core HR functionality, this is the only product we use. For ATS, we have experimented with BreezyHR. We've learned that CakeHR is adding an ATS module soon though.
I believe that Sage 300 ERP is appropriate for a wide variety of companies looking for a system to maintain information in a concise manner. The level of complexity with which it is used is determined by the user group. Therefore, this product is great for companies that are just starting to grow right through to more mature companies looking for detailed data and analytics from their systems.
For smaller companies, Sage HR is a user friendly system that allows you to streamline HR processes all under one roof and a time efficient manner. The other software it is able to integrate with is also a bonus allowing processes to be simplified. Ultimately, we really enjoyed using it to allow our team members to engage with it but also to make engaging with our team members simpler on the HR team and requests always recorded.
Although I do like the Bank Reconciliation module, I wish it was a bit more advanced and less clunky. Some transactions cannot be reversed and the module seems slower than others.
When using copy and paste on all modules, sometimes I receive an error message and the program closes.
It is a solid stable product with a large user community and large ISV community. Support and Training are easy to access and obtain and there is larger reseller channel to ensure the firm you work with is honest. It is scalable and there are multiple deployment and payment options.
Sage 300cloud is intuitive and user friendly after some training. It does require implementation and training but once that's done, this software is easy to use and navigate. Support for Sage 300cloud is spot on and offers assistance over the simplest to [the] most complex of tasks. Finding information or learning new tasks within Sage 300cloud is relatively easy and educational.
payroll process is good Sage HR - web version gives good demographic data uploading to Super portal is good uploading to ATO portal is good giving various reports to Managers is good
Support for Sage 300cloud is similar to Sage support. Depending on which channel you get to and which Specialist you get, the Support can be spot on and rapid. However, there can be wait times and [occasionally], new functionality isn't always well supported. Support documentation is great and [easily] accessible. Additionally, Support Consultants are great resources when it comes to learning and troubleshooting Sage 300cloud.
Customer support is amazing. There are times I post a question and I don't get back to support. They will always follow-up with an email to make sure our questions are answered. I even had a call with Julianna who was wonderful and very personable. You definitely get a level us service that exceeds most companies. Keep up the good work CakeHR.
Sage 300cloud is a great cloud/web based option when stacked against Sage 300 and Sage 100 Contractor. These other two systems are on premise and require licenses to access. Sage 300cloud can be accessed from any web page and is a pay as you go model. Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and Oracle JD Edwards World are better for larger organizations that are heavy into Service and Work Order Management.
I searched for plenty of HR applications. Some wanted a ridiculous amount of money but didn't have many features. One wanted us to move our payroll over to them which wasn't an option. As a smaller to mid-sized company 50-200 employees, we have a central accounting dept that we wanted to keep most of our processes with. CakeHR delivered with all the needs plus more. I know there are some features we are not using because they don't fit our needs at this time but I am aware of them. Finding a web-based application that solved all of our needs and more was a homerun for us. All the others I searched were always missing or wanted us to pay substantially more for a key component we needed.
Hard to say - Accpac (in one form or another) is all we have ever used, thus there is no real comparison to make to show impact vs another application.
Sage 300 ERP is the backbone of our organization - efficiently dealing with payroll and budgets in excess of 30 million dollars per year.
