Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Adobe Customer Journey Analytics to analyze our web traffic data and for marketing attribution. We have been using it as a replacement for GA4. Later this year we will connect our commerce data to Adobe Customer Journey Analytics for revenue attribution.

Filters are difficult to create and share -- "quick filters" are tedious

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for intranet site analytics. At the moment, we use it for basic data such as page views, sessions, unique users, etc. It is limited in scope. We do not yet use it for event tracking, for instance.

To be fair, I am new at CJA and have not had a lot of training, we have have not optimized the data gathering quite yet. Yet, I can't help but compare to GA4 regarding the UX/UI and website performance.

As a consultant, I help clients maximize Adobe Customer Journey Analytics by unifying online and offline data for a complete view of customer interactions. Adobe Customer Journey Analytics addresses key challenges like data silos, inconsistent journey tracking, and event performance measurement. A key use case I worked on involved analyzing pre, during, and post-event engagement to optimize marketing efforts and improve ROI. By leveraging Adobe Customer Journey Analytics’s real-time segmentation and cross-channel insights, we provided data-driven recommendations that enhanced customer experiences and event success.

Adobe Customer Journey Analytics is great at combining offline (e.g call center data) and online (web data) as long as you have IDs that can be stitched together. If you have data that does not collect an ID, you can't combine that data. Account level data combined with person level data is very difficult to analyze in Adobe Customer Journey Analytics. They are coming out with a Adobe Customer Journey Analytics B2B edition but now its another thing to pay for/manage instead of updating the current Adobe Customer Journey Analytics edition to be more robust.

Adobe Customer Journey Analytics is a great product, Much better than Adobe Analytics. Very user friendly. Has more capabilities. Easier to customize. Unlimited data sets. No need to worry about limited eVars and Props. Much faster data access. More user friendly. Easier to integrate with other Adobe products. Strongly recommend the product. CJA has features that Adobe Analytics does not have

We utilize Adobe Customer Journey Analytics to track all of our customer interactions on our entire ecomm site. The product helps ensure we are able to accurately determine how customers are reacting our the changes that our product teams are making in order to optimize and improve conversion. We also utilize the product to tackle detailed customer journey problems to understand happy paths and attributes which signal a "good customer".

Ability to stitch enterprise activity of customers between our online and brick-and-mortar locations
Accurately tying pages attribution to final customer decision to buy products
Ability to standardize metrics to ensure no duplication of our inefficiencies in reporting

Cons

AI-enabled insights; ability to detect and point to problem areas in the business
Needs a better UI for newer and unskilled product managers looking for problems
Layered business context and multi-input incrementality

Adobe Customer Journey Analytics appears to be really well situated and built to make sure basic business problems are addressed and is making good headway towards getting beyond descriptive analytics and into more predictive and prescriptive analytics. I also feel as though it's ability to stitch content analytics into existing customer click data makes it a very strong tool to bring marketing spins and business recommendations to users
