Use it to create educational videos. Once you learn the program, it’s highly effective in creating content. New ai features are promising and I look forward to the day I use them more frequently. I still find the auto color correction doesn’t work as well as I hoped it would

Adobe Premier Pro Review

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit our training video series. Most videos are only 5 - 10 minutes in length but we aim to produce as many as possible for our customers. No feature or problem is too small that wouldn't benefit from having a video resource to help our customers.

Pros

  • Editing screen recordings
  • Auto-transcriptions
  • Adding title cards and transitions

Cons

  • I haven't found a way to screen record directly from Premiere so I unfortunately need another application for that.
  • The transcription feature would benefit from having a user-defined dictionary. I consistently have to correct our company and product names.
  • An AI tool to identify dead air or application loading times would speed up production. I often either cut these parts out or speed them up manually to decrease overall run time.

Return on Investment

  • Adobe Premiere Pro has enabled us to provide high-quality video content to our customers, who have informed us that short-form video is their preferred method for learning about new features or solving problems in their applications quickly.
  • Premiere Pro has had a positive impact on our knowledge base as video content has the highest view rate out of any of our self help offerings.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro has been easy to use with a familiar adobe interface and created little barriers of entry. Even if you are a novice editor, the program makes it easy to get started.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Adobe Premiere Pro to create marketing material content for social media purposes. This software allows me to create more dynamic content for marketing purposes that gets better rates of interaction from viewers and allows me to show video content as opposed to only static images. Adobe Premiere Pro gives me greater control over my video content as opposed to other editing software. This is the software professionals use, but it's not impossible to use as a casual user!

Pros

  • Allows for video and sound mixing
  • Create any kind of motion or transition
  • Allows for full control over the final deliverable

Cons

  • The software interface can be really quite overwhelming visually
  • It can be difficult to understand where to find tools and they are not very user-friendly if you are trying to learn the software without an introduction, but can be easy to use once you know what you are doing
  • It can be difficult to switch between views

Return on Investment

  • Adobe Premiere Pro helps us get better interaction with our marketing materials on social media as a B2B company
  • Adobe Premiere Pro can be time consuming to learn and use (if you are not well-versed or use it regularly to stay savvy) and can cause a larger investment of time and therefore pay to your employee using the software.
