Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Adobe Premiere Pro to create marketing material content for social media purposes. This software allows me to create more dynamic content for marketing purposes that gets better rates of interaction from viewers and allows me to show video content as opposed to only static images. Adobe Premiere Pro gives me greater control over my video content as opposed to other editing software. This is the software professionals use, but it's not impossible to use as a casual user!

Pros

  • Allows for video and sound mixing
  • Create any kind of motion or transition
  • Allows for full control over the final deliverable

Cons

  • The software interface can be really quite overwhelming visually
  • It can be difficult to understand where to find tools and they are not very user-friendly if you are trying to learn the software without an introduction, but can be easy to use once you know what you are doing
  • It can be difficult to switch between views

Likelihood to Recommend

There really is no scenario in which Adobe Premiere Pro is not suitable. It is the pinnacle of video editing software, to the point that true million dollar projects are produced using Adobe Premiere Pro. That being said, it could be overkill if you need a very small, lightly edited video created. You certainly could still use Adobe Premiere Pro, but it wouldn't be worth learning how to use Adobe Premiere Pro solely for something that could be edited in free software within five minutes. Otherwise, Adobe Premiere Pro is suitable for literally any video project.

We use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit videos for use in e-learning and instructor led training situations. We produce approximately two to four short videos a month.

Pros

  • Powerful and versatile editing and creation tools.
  • Wide range of format compatibility
  • Offers comprehensive selection of output formats.

Cons

  • Steep learning curve.
  • User interface is not as intuitive as it could be.
  • Can be too powerful a tool - sometimes need a simpler and faster solution.

Likelihood to Recommend

Premiere Pro is a superb program for video editing. Its full range of tools, controls and creative options provide solutions for any editing situation - it's flexible and powerful. However, if you are looking for a quick and simple solution to a minor editing request, Premiere Pro can be too powerful - there are times when a much simpler piece of editing software offers a faster answer for a basic editing need.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We record training sessions and videos and we use Adobe Premiere Pro in order to enhance recording and remove all the deformities in the videos and make it look better. We add sound effects, transitions, etc. Without this application we could only record once with all the mistakes available in the recording yet this added a great value.

Pros

  • Transitions are made very well.
  • It is very easy to find your way in this application with all the available tools.
  • Adobe has added a load of training material where you can find what you are looking for in no time.
  • You can enhance your videos very easily and remove all none needed parts with a click.

Cons

  • Adobe Premiere Pro can add a section for Intro's where you can design it or take it as a template or even buy it.
  • There are more transitions that can be added as templates to use.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro can add loads of images to be used during video recording.

Likelihood to Recommend

Adobe Premiere Pro support is great and you can find answers to whatever you are looking for. Adobe Premiere Pro is an international application where masters are using it in video productions and they do many updates to make it look perfect. Adobe Premiere Pro chooses colors of interfaces in a very good way, The split in the screen (main screen) is well made and you can never get lost there.

Adobe Premiere Pro - anything less would be uncivilized!

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have personally used Adobe Premiere Pro for over a decade. I use it to edit personal videos and also create videos for our on-line company advertising. It is considered the 'de-facto' standard for good reason - if it can't be done in Adobe Premiere Pro, it probably can't be done.

Pros

  • An abundance of Filter options
  • Separating sound and video elements
  • moving Text Balloons

Cons

  • I think Adobe Premiere Pro could really benefit from a better 'Quick Tutorial' feature.
  • Reorganization of all of the menus are in order - they have just gotten very long and could be more concise.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you work with editing videos - it pays to take the time and learn Adobe Premiere Pro. Once over the initial learning curve (which can be steep), your videos will come alive easier and more professional looking using the features in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Adobe Premiere Pro or Bust!

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Adobe Premiere Pro seamlessly integrates both the Mac OS and Windows OS user experience. Allowing editors to jump back and forth between platforms effortlessly. This helps increase productivity in a rapid production environment. Along with Adobe's other offerings, Premiere Pro allows an experienced editor to do their job more effectively and more efficiently.

Pros

  • Encoding
  • Multi Cam
  • Color correction

Cons

  • Real Time Rendering
  • Update patches
  • Media organization

Likelihood to Recommend

Adobe Premiere Pro would be very well suited in a fast pace documentary-style web series. It lends well to being a one-stop shop for a small production that needs to submit a product in a short turnaround. It would do well in a heavy ingest environment where media management is key to staying productive.

It's fine. Industry standard for video editing, but a bit clunky.

Rating: 5 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Used by resources/content team to create online video curricula and marketing videos. Much of our product catalog is video, so Adobe Premiere Pro helps us create our bread and butter offerings and plays a major role in our marketing campaigns. We have a small creative team and only two people use Adobe Premiere Pro on a regular basis.

Pros

  • Editing
  • Color correction
  • Integration with other Adobe products

Cons

  • Clunky interface
  • Regular glitches
  • Hotkey inconsistencies across Adobe suite

Likelihood to Recommend

One of the industry standards for video editing, but it's rarely fun to use. Tedious and annoying at times, but it gets the job done...most of the time. There are often times where simply updating the app through Creative Cloud or exporting a video is a hassle, and the issues are inconsistent enough that it is challenging to troubleshoot.

Adobe Premiere Pro is one of the best video editing programs

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Adobe Premiere Pro is my go to application with anything video. I use it for simple editing of video files to complex video productions.

Pros

  • Video editing.
  • Audio editing.
  • Titles.
  • Color correcting.

Cons

  • Dolby Digital sound exporting.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is suitable for ANY video editing need. I've thrown some complex video files at it and it is able to handle them well. I also still throw legacy video files like MPEG streams from DVDs and it handles them well.
