Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Apptivo to keep all of our contacts organized and together in one simple and easy to use online program. We are able to have several different address books and assign contacts to certain leads. It provides everything we need and more, and the best part is everything is contained in one single program!
Pros
- Allows for various address lists to make sure contacts are in the correct category.
- Can assign contacts to different leads.
- Allows you to add notes and personal information for each contact.
- Program is all online, so it doesn't take up any space on your computer.
Cons
- When I export addresses, I can't choose to have states abbreviated - I have to go back and manually change them in the Excel spreadsheet after the fact.
- It is not very easy to import new addresses. They have an importer, but I've found it's sometimes faster to just manually add them.
- The platform may seem a little bit out of date. They haven't really updated the format of their site, logos, etc..
Return on Investment
- We are able to send correspondence to donors allowing for additional ROI to be gathered.
- We are able to offer subscriptions and have an opportunity for ROI through that. Subscriptions are very easy to manage through Apptivo.
- Can be time consuming (cost money in hourly wages) to do small things like abbreviate states, etc.
