Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it in combination with our event management platform to provide attendees with a way to message each other during virtual shows. We embed it in pages on our sites and then direct attendees to engage with other attendees via Arena for ease of setup. Thousands of individuals have used it over the years.

It is well suited for situations where a chat solution can be embedded on a page. This instance requires minimal setup and allows you to add chat functionality to your site within minutes. I think it's less suited as an internal messaging tool- there are already other solutions like Slack that have cornered that market.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our platform provides on-demand virtual events that have a live videocast component as well as chat functionality. We've used Arena to provide the chat functionality aspect since it gives shows participants more control over who they engage with and how they engage with them. It's been used by tens of thousands of individuals across many shows, and participants have been quite happy with it.

It's well suited for environments where you have chat participants quickly dropping in and out of chat rooms for quick conversations. We use it in a virtual event environment where this is often the case. It's also good for an environment where each chat room has its own moderators who can control the individual rooms. It can also be easily embedded into sites and doesn't require development experience.

We use Arena.im to add additional, curated content to our websites and blogs. The content wall allows us to source articles from various websites across the web, and select relevant content that shows up in the Arena.im feeds on our sites. This is a huge bonus for boosting our SEO on an active daily basis.

Offers a clean and simple admin user interface.

Cons

Offer a lower-priced subscription for smaller blogs and websites.
Provide a clearer way to see how many impressions have been used on the account so far.

If you are looking to increase user engagement on your website, or add more dynamic content to your blog, then Arena.im is perfectly suited to fulfill those requirements. The Content Wall for example pulls in articles from various sources that you can specify from across the web, including Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Websites, and more. The auto-update feature keeps your content fresh, based on keywords and other criteria that you specify. Essentially you can "set it and forget it". If you require more user engagement, the fully customisable Live Chat widget is a must-use!
