Great Recognition and Rewards Platform

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Bonusly as a public recognition and rewards program. Staff receive 100 points to give to other employees each month. Once points are accrued, staff can use them for rewards. This includes a terrific selection of gift cards as well as customized company rewards such as time off or company swag.

Pros

  • Recognition
  • Simplicity
  • Integration with BambooHR
  • Easy to Use Platform

Cons

  • Occasional issues with automatically syncing new employees and providing initial welcome bonus

Likelihood to Recommend

Bonusly has provided us a formal space to post recognition. While face to face recognition still occurs, this is a place where staff can post publicly or privately, but a majority choose public. It has been incredibly popular since our implementation. Staff love the ability to earn time off through recognition. That customized redemption is our most popular reward.

Amazing Employee Recognition Platform - Highly recommend!

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Amazing experience! We love using Bonusly for our team and seeing peer and peer shout-outs and employee recognition. It's been a fun way to celebrate our teams at all levels company-wide, especially during the remote environment with COVID.

Pros

  • Great platform design - easy to navigate and fun to use
  • Great job connecting teams to communicate and celebrate hard work
  • Aces it on employee recognition and peer to peer feedback

Cons

  • N/A - I think bonusly does great for what it is

Likelihood to Recommend

Bonusly is great for employee engagement and peer-to-peer recognition. It's a nice way to celebrate team wins, hard work, collaboration, and build a fun culture. Our team always adds fun GIFs and it's nice to see this across departments, levels, and people coming together on their own to celebrate hard work/recognition. They also give points [that] can be cashed in for gift cards. Bonusly is not as well suited for feedback in terms of improvement more recognition and celebration privately and publically.

Surefire way to increase employee appreciation and engagement

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utilize Bonusly across all departments of our organization. We have clinicians that work in various locations, so Bonusly gives us all a way to stay connected, and share successes, and helps all staff to gain a better understanding and share appreciation even in areas of the organization that they may not have regular exposure to.

Pros

  • Fosters a culture of appreciation for one another
  • Allows for each staff to select reinforcers of meaning to them specifically
  • Can help tomato sure celebratory dates aren’t forgotten (birthdays, work anniversaries)
  • Increases employee engagement
  • Connects distance employees and employees who don’t have a department team around them to remain engaged and connected to others
  • Allows for specific hashtags that can be tied into company values, to reiterate core values of the organization.

Cons

  • Tying GIFs to employee "shout outs" is a popular feature in our culture. Any expansion of the GIF library would be put to good use.

Likelihood to Recommend

Bonusly can be a game changer for fostering a culture of appreciation and engagement amongst staff. It speaks especially well to the younger generation, but even our more senior staff seem to love it to. I could see it being a little more difficult to use in industries in which technology use was not part of the day to day work, as you do need to either pull the app up or look at your email to know if someone sent you Bonusly points and recognition. In any office setting, education, healthcare, technology, or other industry though that includes an email or computer component, Bonusly ties seamlessly into the day and I have yet to find a place that has implemented it who hasn’t loved it.

Enriching the company culture while uplifting the employee morale at the same time

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Bonusly is that intuitive recognition and reward system we use to acknowledge and reward achievements, efforts, contributions of managers, co-workers, and teammates. The rewards can be in-form of bonuses, branded items, gift cards, vouchers, time-offs, opportunities, and other types of rewards. This makes employees feel valued and perform their jobs excellently.

Pros

  • Makes rewarding employees simple and impactful.
  • Integrates with collaboration communication and other HR tools.
  • Adding of unique custom rewards.

Cons

  • The presentation of rewards on the dashboard should have access restrictions to limit people from seeing totals of amounts awarded.

Likelihood to Recommend

Bonusly allows the company to come up with different ways of rewarding employees and materialize them while applying creativity to the whole process of rewarding the employees. These reward programs can be tailored to the needs, personalities, and preferences of the employees to ensure we deliver more meaningful rewards. What I like most is how we creatively generate company-branded rewards.

Push-Button Employee Recognition Program

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We leverage Bonusly as an employee-to-employee recognition platform. Anyone in the organization has a monthly pool of points which translates to real money/gifts. The product helps re-enforce our values as employees are encouraged to 'bonus' each other for perceived events. And everything is handled inside the app with VERY little administrative/HR overhead needed.

Pros

  • Prize selection, a wide variety of gift card, charity, and even PayPal cash payout options.
  • Prize reclamation/flow of money in, and points out. Most other systems are not nearly as hands-free as this. People are able to claim everything with zero approval/foot-work from your HR/Admin team. No prize book to maintain, no trips to the gas station to buy gift cards. It's just smooth.
  • Freedom to post however/whatever you like in the open-ended timeline/social media-esk posting feature.

Cons

  • Moderation. The freedom to post anything for recognition can get out of hand depending on your tolerance/company culture. There are very little to no tools around better this.
  • Bonusly has not done much in the way of adding features. Hard to call it a con but other similar platforms have extended into allowing more directed involvement from the organization. In other words: Bonusly is a little TOO hands-off in some ways.

Likelihood to Recommend

Hands down this tool nails what it sets out to do. If what you need is a no-fuss method of allowing employees to build each other up that is a completely self-reliant system that only requires your predictable capital investment: there is no better. There are more feature-rich tools so there are plenty of cases where it may make sense to opt for a more robust system. I think small and large teams benefit the most from a platform like this. Small teams where every minute of admin time is precious. Or big teams where complexity can become an issue, or said large teams that are looking for a supplemental system to their current bonus/employee recognition programs.

Fun and simple way to make your employees feel valued and appreciated

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it across the company to recognize the hard work of our colleagues and the small things that often go unnoticed in the hustle and bustle of day to day work.

Pros

  • Visibility for the entire company into bonuses given/received.
  • Meaningful rewards that make people actually want to use the platform.

Cons

  • Took me awhile to find where all of my previous bonuses were housed.

Likelihood to Recommend

Especially at a busy company where everyone has high goals/metrics and the company is large and/or spread out, Bonusly gives everyone a way to recognize the unsung heroes. These are often the little things that make companies and individuals successful and give employees much needed boosts in outlook and help to make them feel valued.
