We are using GoCanvas to handle our input and final report production for quality control inspections within the construction industry. We also use it to dispatch our inspectors to their projects and to store our reports allowing us to search reports based on criteria within the reports. The software helps integrate much of our communication and report processing into one automated platform.
Pros
GoCanvas puts a powerful platform in your hands to create your own "apps" and PDF output for various needs. It is very flexible and allows customization to many different business scopes. Instead of having to pay a technical team to develop everything I was able to develop all our functionality with periodic help from their tech support staff.
They are constantly developing new functionality into the platform and take the suggestions from their users seriously to add features that they request. They also integrate with many other apps we already use like dropbox.
The price is reasonable and they offer different account pricing structures to fit small businesses.
Cons
Some of their customization of the PDF Report builder is limited, but this is more than likely for simplicity sake. There have been some limitations based on their programming limitations, but we've been able to get around some of them.
Tech support is not instantly available and can take up to a day to get back to you.

GoCanvas is ideal for any company that dispatches individuals to sites or locations and then those individuals have to do some sort of report or form to turn in and then send to their clients. The dispatch function adds a lot of power to the platform to allow one traceable documentation from scheduling to the finalization of the report. The best part is that it can be customized to any trade or function out there. It also is handy for mechanics or any other trade that needs to log info at their destinations and submit those to an office or client.
GoCanvas is being used primarily with my Sales Team when they meet face to face with homeowners. Our contract, customer verification form, and scoping forms are used on GoCanvas. It has brought us into the technology age and helped my staff close more deals. It is easily changed and adapted to what we need it for. The documents look professional.
Pros
GoCanvas can adapt to you and the structure of your company. Our documents were sometimes a work in progress, and it was easy to change them when needed.
GoCanvas made my Sales Team more efficient and structured. We had set documents they needed to fill out and within those documents, certain areas needed to be completed before they could move forward, which enabled my team to be more accurate and fully detailed.
Cons
With the amount of users and documents that we had, the main dashboard was a little tough to use and find documents.
Again, we used GoCanvas quite a bit so it did get expensive. However, for the service we received I think it was well priced.
Likelihood to Recommend
I believe that GoCanvas is well suited for a company when they have one or two documents that need to be in the system. Also maybe a smaller company with 1-11 employees. For us, it has been somewhat of a challenge with 10-15 employees using it with sometimes 5 different documents and managing that. The customization of the documents is fabulous and we could sign contracts electronically which gave us an edge with our competition.

GoCanvas is being used across both of our companies - both in the field and in our offices. I can't emphasize enough how much it improves the data and information flow between the field and our office. It allows us to invoice our customers faster, complete HR processes faster, and create service reports in real-time.
