Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are a small company with tight budgets and need to be able to collect registrations as well as feedback. Google forms allows us to do this economically and simply. It is easy to create the forms we need, and to repurpose existing forms by duplicating and editing. This meets our needs admirably.

Sharing the form is easy by email or link

Cons

It would help to have more templates that can be adapted, saving design time
If you have more than one Google account it can be easy to open the wrong one for your form design
Occasionally the sharing settings can exclude potential recipients because they are not configured correctly

Well suited for budget conscious small enterprises. Also good for those who are not daunted by basic form design. Not so useful for complete novices needing to start in this area because the options are not explained in a way that lends to a guided learning process. Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Google Forms for multiple registrations and RSVP for our free events. It is free and very easy to use, doesn't require special access like forms in Wix. Every event manager can use forms tailored to their needs, customize them, and gather the necessary information about event participants. All answers are collected in Google Sheets and can be downloaded as a CSV file for use in any CRM.

We used Google Forms for some of our internal forms that needed to be filled in along with some internal surveys. The problems addressed were the need for an easy to use tool to send out the surveys. It was also a great option given the price point of the solution.

We use Google Forms to create a class schedule and see if anyone wants to add it. We have a lot of staff with different schedules, so it helps coordinate everyone's schedules. I also use it for my volunteer mentorship to look up the student's essays and classes. So it helps us stay updated on their progress.

We use Google Forms for company wide surveys. The main reason is confidentiality when asking for information you really want open answers to. Using Microsoft via licenses means there is always a risk that a survey isn't entirely private which puts staff right off.

I’ve been using Google Forms for years to send out to Clients. It’s been a great way to capture how we can best support our Clients. We have several surveys we send out and it’s great how simple the forms are to adjust as well as measure results. Highly recommend!

I use Google Forms for business reviews from enrolled families, enrollment interest from families, staff anonymous reviews, time-off requests, interest polls, and more! Google Forms is very versatile, and I use it whenever I need input and information from a large group of people, whether it is families or teachers.

Pros

I love the feature that turns the form into a google sheet. It makes the information very easy to view and access.
I like that you can choose whether or not you want to collect email addresses so that the form can be anonymous if needed.
I really like how accessible and easy to read the charts and graphs are.

Cons

I think that the settings tab should be in the hamburger menu in the top right corner instead of where it is in the middle of the screen. That style is a little funky and doesn't really conform to more intuitive UI design.

Likelihood to Recommend

Any time you need to collect information or opinions from any group of people, Google Forms is a great way to go. The data going into a spreadsheet and into graphs and charts at the same time is really coinvent functionality. I use Google Forms in both my professional and personal life. Using Google Forms for planning potlucks, doing anonymous reviews, collecting enrollment data, and so many other functions absolutely makes my life easier. The only thing that it is not really suited well for is if you want respondents to be able to see the data and responses that you are receiving from the rest of the respondents. We use Google Forms to get feedback from users. It has a very simple and understandable interface. The fact that most people know about Google Forms gives people confidence.

Pros

Very basic UI.
Suitable for all ages.
One of the most reliable products.

Cons

Unfortunately, there are very few customization possibilities.
Generally good for smaller organizations. Can't recommend for large organizations
You cannot add your own domain and branding.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is best for getting live feedback. For example, we can get our landing page feedback quickly.

But you can't get very detailed data or do A/B testing. So I don't recommend it for real scientific purposes.
