We use HubSpot Academy to help train myself and other employees on all of HubSpot's different features. Our company bought another so we have two separate Hubspot CRM accounts. When I first started my job 4 years ago, I used HubSpot Academy to train myself on my basics of HubSpot. Now, we are realizing that HubSpot offers so much more so we have been using HubSpot Academy as a group and everyone is working on different things. Currently, I am watching the HubSpot Academy section on email marketing to learn the different tips and tricks on making your emails through HubSpot the most successful. Everytime we hire someone new, they also train with HubSpot Academy. It is very informative videos, practice quizzes, and interactive trainings.
Pros
Easy to nagivate
Informative training videos
Informative practice quizzes
Interactive practice (For example, when you are learning about setting up workflows, HubSpot Academy will then take you to a sample workflow so you can practice setting it up)
Cons
Some of the training videos are a bit long, the more frequent shorter ones are more effective
Sometimes you will do an interactive practice, then it will never give the check mark in HS academy like it was not completed
A lot of the times their live chat is great. However, sometimes you ask a question and they will respond with a video or article that is already in the trainings
Likelihood to Recommend
I would recommend HubSpot Academy as an 8. It is an 8 because it is very informative and a great start for learning HubSpot CRM. There is every topic you can think of with informative videos, interactive learnings, and practice quizzes. Topics like workflows, email marketing, sequences, etc. However, sometimes the videos are very long. They are more effective when they are shorter and there is more of them. It is a hit or miss when that happens. Also, the trainings do not go into great detail so it is better for starting learning the basics and functions.
Marketing techniques, HubSpot Platform tutorials. Makes the platform super easy to manage. The knowledge base is huge. I personally got several practical certifications that can actually be put to use on a day to day basis. I've been in HubSpot for almost ten years and it's by far the best and most practical CRM in the market.
Pros
Huge knowledge base
Practical curses with certifications
It's free!
Cons
Missing actual workshops on some of the premium features of HubSpot
Pace of updates and new platforms features might be missing from the existing learning content at the time.
Having the actual lessons in written format
Likelihood to Recommend
It has a ton of content and you can get several professional certifications that can actually be applied o your day to day. Wether you are in Marketing or in Sales. All of these are completely free. No credit card requirements. HubSpot is also a growing platform. There is an entire industry of professionals around it too.
HubSpot Academy was used for training and onboarding of new employees. HubSpot was a crucial piece of daily work processes and therefore adequate training and preparation was necessary. The Academy itself wasn't leveraged to "solve a problem" so much as it was used to enhance the overall use of HubSpot.
Pros
Provides resources users can return to
Provides overarching training of HubSpot
Cons
The videos are terribly boring in general
The voice is grating
The instructions weren't always clear
Likelihood to Recommend
If a company is leveraging HubSpot I would absolutely recommend using the Academy. If not, that would be stupid. If an organization is paying for HubSpot, I can see no reason why they would not also choose to prepare their employees to use it well by using Academy.
HubSpot Academy helped to achieve skills related to HubSpot and digital advertising. What I liked about HubSpot Academy is it's free and it is a great learning tool.

Cons
It's upto the mark
No need for improvement
Providing everything a learner wants
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well suited for the people who are in marketing. When coming to roles it is suitable for people who do digital advertising, marketing automation and inbound marketing
HubSpot Academy offers a detailed and relevant sales & marketing education programs to further enhance the skillset of a sales professional. Generally, the tool is used to develop strategies for cold calling, onboarding, customer data collection and customer retention. I used this tool frequently, perhaps monthly, to glean useful and measurable information to increase my gross profit margin.
Pros
Marketing and sales tips that can be implemented right away
Virtual learning environment that offers flexibility
Certified training respected in the sales vertical
Free to those who use HubSpot CRM
Clear, concise courses
Expanded library of sales and marketing courses
Cons
The duration of some courses is pretty long. Some material can be consolidated so the course doesn't run so long.
I've taken a couple of courses where the instructors move too quickly. This can be challenging for someone new to using the platform or even to sales.
Those new to the sales or marketing role may not fully understand the inbound methodology of HS Academy. Perhaps "real life" scenarios can better demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach.

As a 20+ year sales professional, I have found HS Academy to be an effective learning tool. It offers a comprehensive look and demonstration of the inbound methodology and how to implement strategies into one's sales process. The cold calling information was extremely helpful as it helped me with tactics to easily overcome initial objections and get a meeting with the decision maker. I believe HS Academy offers a plethora of coursework for various levels of sales and marketing professionals.
I used HubSpot Academy to train myself to use HubSpot. This has been very helpful to bring my company up to speed. In fact, we were able to migrate to HubSpot a month earlier than expected because of the training I received. I still refer back to the Academy often.
Pros
Video content.
Clear explanations.
Marketing tips and strategies.
Cons
PDFS of lecture.
More specific use cases.
How to track paid ads.
Likelihood to Recommend
HubSpot Academy is well-suited if you are learning HubSpot. For more advanced users the knowledge base is more appropriate. The Academy has a lot of different use cases, and I was able to get up to speed on the different marketing functionalities. I also appreciated the screenshots of what the software looked like.
Our company uses it to stay up to date with Inbound and HubSpot knowledge, best practices. etc. We also take courses relevant to our positions and what will benefit us. For example, I've taken the social media, content and email marketing courses to keep updated on best practices and refresh myself on key ideas.
Pros
Great at simplifying complicated theories and ideas
Good refresher for staying up to date in the world of Inbound marketing
Easy to follow videos and practice questions
Cons
[I feel] they could expand the lessons to more real-world examples and ideas to take the learning further
[I believe] the ability to go back on a question in the exam would be nice
New courses that go more in depth on a certain topic, with homework and ideas to try
Likelihood to Recommend
HubSpot Academy is best suited for busy professionals who can fit in time for short videos, slowly working on each course and writing down key points in between before the exams at the end. It is more high-level, so if you're looking for advanced courses these probably aren't the best fit.
[HubSpot Academy has] been used by Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to be up to date in terms of best practices for Marketing strategies, pipe generation, etc. It helps us identify the best ways to grow our business
Pros
Their video library is awesome
Their teachers are high quality
It's super intuitive
Cons
Honestly, I don't find anything hard to use
Likelihood to Recommend
[HubSpot Academy is] just a great tool for everyone who wants to grow at their Marketing, Sales, or customer success career. Their courses are very detailed in information, their teachers are the best in the industry, and it's just easy to take some time and learn.
