Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Ideagen Quality Control in managing inspections and documenting processes. It has been a tremendous help in enabling us to maintain our iso-9001 certification. It assists in handling any and all changes to any of our documentation. It has been extremely helpful to us in handling all aspects of our Quality department.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

At our organization, we use Ideagen Quality Control to balloon our prints, create process flow diagrams, control plans, pfmeas, and FAI reports for customer submission to our Aerospace customers. It helps us ensure our documentation agrees with each other since it is all incorporated in one software package in a coherent and professional format.

Pros

Ensures all features are accounted for by highlighting features until they have been addressed.
The process flow maps look amazing when exported to Excel

Cons

The FMEA portion is clunky and isn’t as easy to customize failure modes
Copy and paste doesn’t work well, and the control plan bounces to other balloons sporadically as you enter data
Excel output to the templates should be easier to customize. It shouldn’t need special skills from the software manufacturer.

Ideagen Quality Control is used by my organization primarily for completing First Article Inspection Reports, it is very helpful when creating bubble drawings and extracting information from drawings and exporting information into Net-Inspect. It effectively streamlines the process for all employees involved in FAIR's. It has many other features but they are not all relevant to my organization.

We use this software mainly for First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102) in the aerospace industry. The best thing is the Bubble Drawing feature, which is used in Form 3 of the AS9102. Also extracting the words from the picture (OCR) is pretty useful and saves time. Also being able to export the data from the Ideagen Quality Control software to Excel for AS9102 format is amazing. The major disadvantage is sometimes the numbering does not follow the sequence. the order of the bubbles is hard to change. If the picture is not clear, the OCR extraction feature does not work great.
