Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Javelo.io is the program our company uses to conduct periodic employee reviews. It allows direct reports and their managers to independently respond to evaluation questions before meeting face-to-face to discuss their responses. I use Javelo from the perspective of an employee filling out my career review to discuss with my manager.

Pros

  • Once you are in the review portion of the platform, following the prompts is straightforward.
  • The dashboard shows clear indicators of whether you have an action remaining in the review process.

Cons

  • If you exit the review before completing all prompts, the answers will not always be saved. I have had this happen twice when I couldn't finish the questions in a single sitting and despite saving my session, I had to start from the beginning.
  • When returning to an in-progress session (assuming it is saved correctly), it is less clear at what stage in the review process you are, and what is remaining.
  • I have had difficulties with the language defaulting to French on my login page and in automated emails.
