Cons
Task updates are manual
Lacking automation and AI-driven features
Limited flexibility in an administrator-led instance
Likelihood to Recommend
I see Jira Work Management as an ideal platform for software development and testing. For marketing and creative work management, there are more comprehensive and flexible tools on the market.
My company uses Jira Work Management to list content tasks, epics and bugs all in one place, this allows us to easily alert the team of issues that can be resolved, then pass those onto quality assurance once fixed. With out it, communication surrounding software development would be chaos. Multiple projects are managed through this software, meaning a release timeline and time can be planned to complete the work.
Pros
Bug and issue listing
Content tasks and epics, showing everything with a progress bar
Deadline planning
change list management
Cons
Allow me to easier get to the kanban board
Make a windows app
teams integration
Likelihood to Recommend
From my experience, anything that has individual tasks that contribute to a wider project are suited to Jira Work Management. Examples that relate to my company are as follows: Software development, games development, case file management. In a company where communication is strained, this software will aid in getting things across clearer
Jira Work Management is used to track Engineering requests that come from Support, or other parts of the business when interfacing mainly with customer issues and we need either engineering or a technical architect to help with the problem. We try to include as much details as possible, including screen shots to hopefully shorten the time span of getting resolution.
Pros
Interacting between Jira Work Management and communications tools to provide updates on ticket
Allow the addition of customer names affected by an issue
Tagging users in comments/responses
Cons
The search tool, at times, doesn't work as well as one would hope
Likelihood to Recommend
I think a big part of the success of Jira Work Management is both Implementation, Maintenance, Training and setting expectations. If you think of those 4 as the legs to a chair, if one is weak or short, so is your chair. Sometimes, Jira Work Management really helps in finding and tracking issues, but, in my experience, other times, it turns into a dumping ground with too much replication.
Robust, intuitive and constantly developing. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Jira Work Management, as our one source of truth for project management. It has significantly made it easier to get a better overview, and set prioritizations right for critical projects. If you are also integrated to the overall Atlassian ecosystem, this is a no brainer to have.
Pros
Task Management
Labelling
Prioritization
Cons
You do need to ensure you have an overall strategy for Atlassian, otherwise you risk just making this a place to document things with no proper strategy
Likelihood to Recommend
Really is very robust, in particular coupled with the overall Atlassian Ecosystem. Moreover, We really like how you can cater it to suit your own needs, whether you like to work in tables or kanban views. Labelling is also a great solution. I would have wished more intuitive red flags directly from the system in case it detects that we might be going overboard with certain things, thus making it complicated.

Atlassian's Jira is a potent tool for managing tickets and projects. The portal is incredibly stable and easy to use. There are two versions available: cloud-based SaaS and on-premises data center. India is now home to Atlassian data centers. Therefore, the Jira SaaS platform can also be used to meet regulatory obligations. Agile project management frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban are used with Jira. Jira has excellent ticket management features. You may construct your change management process by using automation workflows.
Pros
Jira is easy to deploy
User Interface is easy
Jira reports can also be exported to excel
Cons
Notification features are less preferred by users due to their complexity
Likelihood to Recommend
Detailed and granular level permission controls for better user access management. User Interface and API both support are available users can use as per their easiness.
We use Jira to log and organise all tasks and track progress through the To do, In progress, and Review stages, all the way to Done. The organization allows us to break down tasks to be manageable but keep track of the overall progress of the entire project and across multiple projects and teams.
Pros
Organisation.
Progress Tracking.
Task assignment.
Cons
Automatic resource allocation.
Automatic stakeholder notification of changes to project timelines.

In my organisation, we use Jira Work Management to track tasks, manage workloads, and streamline collaboration across the team. It allows me to create and assign tasks to teammates, set priorities, and track progress efficiently. Overall, Jira Work Management helps us stay organised, prioritise work effectively, and improve team collaboration.
Pros
task and project management
workflow automation
reporting
insights
Cons
ease of use
pages can be slightly slow to load
a more intuitive mobile experience
Likelihood to Recommend
Some useful scenarios would be if you have lots of repetitive tasks that need to be automated, especially across different teams. Otherwise, in my opinion, it wouldn't be most suitable for highly complex software development - Jira Work Management software would be more suitable. Also, work management is slightly too complex if all you're looking for is a simple task manager / to do list. I think Trello would be better for this.
We use Jira Work Management to organize each product pod's sprints as well as to organize product discovery. Each pod has a backlog of tickets that includes background, acceptance criteria, and deliverables so that we know what's happening, how it happened, and when. Using this system has really increased our productivity.
Pros
Managing product delivery tickets
Managing customer support tickets
Delegating tasks to team members
Cons
creating a ticket as a follow on of a ticket that's already complete
going back to review what happened in the previous sprint
sprint retros
Likelihood to Recommend
Jira Work Management is a great tool for organizing your backlog, understanding who has been assigned which tasks, understanding which tasks are coming up soon, and which ones can wait until later. You can even make tickets appear on the backlog of multiple teams if there's more work to be done and handoffs to manage.
I use Jira Work Management to report, test and manage bugs in staging and production environnement. I love having easy access to the backlog and current bugs to test and manage at my own time. I use it as a reporter, reviewer and tester of bugs and software news prior and after the new releases

team time managment
Cons

Jira has been a legacy application for our organization to manage software and applications development, which is part of the best practices, among this industry. Although the Jira is mainly for IT guys in our company, we also leverage it for other areas such as program management office and research & development.
Pros
Workload management
Resource Availability
Cons
Visibility
Collabotarion
Steep learning curve
Likelihood to Recommend
The workload management and views are perfect. The message is delivered in the cards and layouts. However, the customization of the view is poor. In addition, the workflows and rules are robust and cover many scenarios, but the set-up is pretty complex since the hierarchy might noy be clear enough.
