JobBoss gets the job done!

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use JobBoss2 daily to complete a certification process for all inspections performed in-house. We are a lab that does non-destruction testing of aerospace parts, and each part has to be inspected and certified to stand up to certain specifications. JobBoss2 helps us complete the entire process by producing a certification form to send to our customers to determine whether or not the parts passed those required specifications and how they were processed.

Pros

  • Tracking progress.
  • Integration with QuickBooks.
  • Inventory control of parts on hand.

Cons

  • Produce packing lists.

Likelihood to Recommend

Producing a tracking to follow parts through different processes works very well. If you need a packing slip, it is a little cumbersome to type out everything in a simple one.

JobBOSS 2.

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use JobBoss as our primary ERP. We use it from start to finish when creating a job, ordering components, tracking costs, and eventually billing the customer. We are relatively new to JobBoss, as we have had it for some years but are making a push to utilize it more.

Pros

  • Purchase orders.
  • Receiving tracking.
  • Billing

Cons

  • Upload CSV data.
  • Create an app.
  • Expand external resources.

Likelihood to Recommend

I would recommend JobBoss to any colleague in small—to medium-sized manufacturing firms. Although I am not convinced that it will be able to handle advanced data from larger firms, it should be able to handle everything small—to medium-sized businesses require. JobBoss is great.

Only downfall is inventory is difficult to keep track of but I have yet to find an ERP that does this well.

  • Keeping track of billable hours
  • Doing commitment orders

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use the software as a full ERP program supporting order entry through shipment/inventory.

Pros

  • Visually appears fine
  • Pretty stable and low requirements

Cons

  • Too long of click trail on some tasks
  • Expensive

Likelihood to Recommend

When we began as E2 it was a reasonably priced software and we accepted its limits. Today it is a lot more expensive and most of the shortcomings remain.
