What is NetCrunch?
NetCrunch is a network and infrastructure monitoring system designed for hybrid IT environments. It offers agentless monitoring for thousands of devices using SNMP (full support), server metrics, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), traffic flows (NetFlow, sFlow and more), website availability, certificates, logs, and custom data via REST APIs or scripts.
NetCrunch includes over 670 built-in monitoring packs and sensors. It automates device discovery, configuration, threshold detection, and alert handling using rule-based policies that can be tuned to meet any needs.
The platform supports 40+ automated actions in response to alerts—such as running scripts, restarting services, killing processes, or rebooting devices. Alert noise is minimized through correlation, filtering, and delay rules. Flexible escalation policies route alerts to the right channels, including email, SMS, and third-party integrations.
Live performance dashboards, dynamic status views, and automatic network topology maps offer real-time visibility into system health and relationships. Views update automatically based on infrastructure changes, device state or other signals.
NetCrunch uses node-based licensing to simplify scaling and reduce cost complexity. It can be deployed on-premises, self-hosted in the cloud, or in hybrid setups.
