What is Notifii Track?

Notifii Track is a cloud-based, app-based package management software designed to save the user time by decreasing the time spent logging packages down to seconds. Users take a picture of each package that comes in and a notification is instantly sent to the recipient. Users can customize messages, pick up times, and set up a kiosk to make package pick ups self-serve.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Notifii Track has allowed us to completely streamline our package handling process from receiving to delivery on our campus. With packages arriving for both departments and individuals, we needed a way to properly receive packages from multiple carriers. Students come to our counter to receive packages, while departments have their packages delivered. We needed a solution that would allow us to do all of these things accurately and speedily.

Pros

  • Sends e-mail and text messages to package recipients
  • Allows us to scan packages in and sign them out on an iPad
  • Allows us to take a picture of the delivered package and/or the person who signed for it
  • Allows us to quickly and easily import users into the database
  • Keeps all records on the cloud, in compliance with FERPA

Cons

  • It would be nice to easily remove student data from the system without having to open a support ticket.

  • The ability to text/e-mail students about their packages
  • The ability to track packages from receipt to delivery
  • The ability to import student data into the database
  • The fact that the system is FERPA compliant and completely cloud-based

Return on Investment

  • Students love that they receive immediate communication when a package arrives from them. This is a big win for student experience.
  • There was no expensive hardware to purchase or maintain (a win for IT), and we pay a very reasonable monthly fee for the service, all updates, and support.
  • No need to maintain a server or worry about FERPA compliance

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our Shipping/Receiving Department uses Notifii Track in order to log in and track the delivery of all packages coming into our resorts. This preserves the chain of custody and allows us to document that packages were delivered to the correct department or person.

Pros

  • Scans any barcode.
  • Allows pictures of package and person signing.
  • Good reporting detail and summary information.

Cons

  • More choices on reporting - by department, package detail, etc.
  • Allow for multiple intermediate transfers within the same company before the final destination.
  • Allow for notes after the package has been logged out.

  • Ease of use.
  • Scanning all barcodes and getting barcode names.
  • Taking pictures of packages and recipients and linking those to the delivery ticket.

Return on Investment

  • Has provided an inexpensive way to document package receipt and delivery.
  • Allowed us to get better control over packages coming into the resort and the final disposition of those packages.

As a boarding school we need to manage package tracking and notifications for both our employees, as well as a very broad and diverse student body. Notifii [Track] allows us to do this by integrating with our Active Directory system and allowing for custom implementations using data scraped from AD.

Pros

  • The web console is performative.
  • System connectivity has been solid once established.
  • Little to no down time when implemented.
  • Customized roles and users

Cons

  • End user support was severely lacking, our implementation engineer was very poor [from my experience].
  • Documentation is sub standard.
  • Implementation is a very long process if you have any customization or special requirements.
