What is OnPlan?

Spreadsheets are widely used for planning because of their flexibility and familiarity. With OnPlan, users get access to visualization capabilities, integrations, and collaboration features, in a solution designed to give the run-of-the-mill spreadsheet model more power.

OnPlan integrates with dozens of data sources, including Netsuite, Quickbooks, Salesforce, ADP, and also existing spreadsheets – allowing the user to make important business decisions leveraging a single source of truth. OnPlan users are able to create scenarios in seconds and analyze variances with the click of a button, gathering insights in real time to fuel quicker decision making.

The vendor states that static planning tools are not flexible enough to deal with the rapid change in business today. For a business to thrive, it needs a tool that can evolve with it, continuing to provide real time insights to drive future growth.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

OnPlan is our single source of truth for all financial data points and metrics such as cost of a particular vendor (incl. history), cash, runway, CAC, ARR, churn rates, FTE costs, etc. In addition, we use OnPlan for the following:

Financial planning and budgeting
Controlling of accounting quality - detection of erroneous GL entries
Scenario planning for investment decisions
Board deck and investor reporting (variance analysis)
