We use the people box for aligning employee and company goals, assigning objectives and key results to all our employees, and reviewing their performance every month. Peoplebox serves as a collaboration tool for cross-functional teams to discuss projects that are critical to them in achieving their quarterly targets. All progress is updated against each goal every week and reviews are conducted across teams on Peoplebox.
Pros
Organising goals across teams and breaking it across hierarchies.
Tracking and Reporting progress across each goal.
Cross team collaboration for achieving shared goals.
Cons
Integrations with tools like slack and asana are tedious.
Goals are difficult to link across multiple people.
Quantitative progress has to be updated manually in absence of the right integrations.
Likelihood to Recommend
Peoplebox is well suited to assign goals and track outcomes when the teams are aligned well internally and the goals are well defined with quantitative outcomes. It has limitations when it comes to integrating Peoplebox with internal toolkits and collaboration tools like Asana, Slack, and others. However, it works well with Google sheets.
I've been using this software during one of my recent freelance engagements, where I was a part of a multinational, global team of IT specialists working on the same project. Peoplebox helped us to report the progress of ongoing activities, and manage our tasks and goals achieved. We used it as a kind of collaboration, reporting, and monitoring tool.
Pros
Allows to easily monitor activities progress.
Helps in prioritizing tasks.
Cons
I did not identify any features that would be missing from my perspective. One could complain about the user interface, but it's a matter of personal preferences, so I do not consider it as an area for improvement as such.
Likelihood to Recommend
I guess it is a good tool for smaller teams, that work from multiple locations at the same time - it helps to collaborate, and monitors common tasks progress and goals (to be) achieved so far. I guess it is not suited for global corporations yet, as it would require some more detailed features (like bonus calculation based on each team member's performance.
