We use ProShop to run all the major divisions of our company. We use it to manage our entire job shop and most recently for managing the intricacies of our fishing reel division, Islander Reels. ProShop has been pivotal in standardizing what we do and how we do it. This has made a very positive impact on smooth day to day operations.
Pros
ProShop knows how machine shops run and what is required information for all levels of the company.
Quoting and costing is both quick and thorough. We have confidence in our numbers!
The support is timely and friendly. They consider all new ideas and explain how to use best use features very well.
Traceability is above and beyond. We know where everything is, where it came from and where it is going.
Cons
While support staff will be quick to help very advanced features still don't have all the documentation needed at times to solve problems on our own.
Elements of the interface are could be polished for a more appealing aesthetic.

I have recommended ProShop to other machine shops who have gone forward with implementation and been very glad they have. The fact that we have strived to use it for all of our internal divisions shows how much value we feel it adds.
ProShop ERP is used thru all departments within our facility. Estimating, Order Entry, Procurement, Inspection, Inventory Control, Manufacturing, Internal Audits, Accounting. It has allowed us to go nearly paperless, allowing easy access to all details of every department with a click of a few buttons, from anywhere in the world. The system is real time computing which gives us the most accurate data to help meet our customer's needs.
Pros
Real time data makes for more accurate decisions
Easy navigation to any department within a few clicks
Visual features to assist in making employees accountable
ROI was achieved faster than expected
Cons
Customer PO pricing structure
Vendor PO pricing structure
Business Management Module to where customer/vendor charts and graphs can be created.
Schedule though is very easy and quite thorough, could use some improvements.

I can't talk highly enough about ProShop ERP. Their team is never satisfied with how it performs and the features it has in place. ProShop has made our company more efficient in every aspect of how we run a business. We shopped around and we couldn't find a system that does everything that ProShop does. It is the most complete robust system on the market in my opinion.
ProShop is being used across the entire organization. We use it to plan all jobs and contracts that come into the shop. We use it for all material, finish, and general goods purchasing and management. Since everything is linked through ProShop this allows for any employees working on the floor to access all work orders from their tablets and view any drawings or project note changes as they happen live. Any employees assigned to projects will receive notifications through ProShop of any changes that occur real-time.
Pros
Very forgiving system of any mistakes that might be made.
You are able to edit and customize most everything in ProShop to fit your needs/wants.
Info tabs all throughout proshop help explain what certain things are and what they do, also provide additional information pertaining to the subject.
Cons
Can be slightly overwhelming at first.
Unless you have a good understanding of how to write script and code the customization pages can be confusing.
Some of the system notifications can be a little confusing, such as the new rev flag that pops up when the rev for the part changes. We've had some issues with this causing problems to the parts later down the line when trying to transfer duplicate parts to a remake job.

For the most part I love everything about this system. The one thing that's a little confusing about it is the Carts system for creating purchase orders and batching them together. Seems to be a few extra steps to accomplish work that has essentially already been done. Other than that though, I love this system and highly recommend it!
ProShop ERP is being used by every member of our company. It allows everyone to see where the work order is in progress and what is next in line for said work order. ProShop allows us to keep track of all the job requirements and certifications that are specified on our customer PO and attach related documentation digitally directly to the work order. Everything from quote to cash is seamless and complete with ProShop and our QuickBooks integration.
Pros
ProShop cloud-based deployment is very speedy and IT-friendly.
ProShop covers all of the specialty needs required by some. It is very complete.
ProShop handles job-progress tracking very well to ensure on-time delivery.
Cons
The tool database and inventory control could use flexibility on how tools are disbursed.

ProShop ERP is great for advanced manufacturing and appears to be right up to speed with industry 4.0 thinking. It could be overkill for a small shop that doesn't have many complex processes or need for tractability.
We use ProShop ERP as our complete job management software. Every job starts as an estimate and makes its way through ProShop ERP (quote, part, customer PO, work order, packing slip) to delivery to customer with every step being documented in the system. Coming from a network of spreadsheets and handwritten work orders, ProShop ERP has made it, so all of our job information is in one location and accessible by each person involved in the process. This has made managing the workload a task that no longer depends on people remembering what was done and shifts it to a system where documentation in the system becomes the only source of information, and it is accurate and available. Time tracking in the system also allows us to track profitability. Our customers appreciate that we can show them the raw data to support our pricing, and the level of documentation in the system is helping to steer us towards an ISO certification.
Pros
Estimating
Time Tracking
Documentation
Tracking Profitability
Cons
COTS (Components off the shelf)
Inventory Management
Material Price Updates

For our industry, ProShop ERP is very well suited for the machine side of our business as the system is geared toward aerospace machine shops. It lacks a little in the fabrication side of our business as it is harder to schedule the projects since you can easily schedule a machine's time. However, our fabrication projects tend to involve more than one person on a particular task, and it is more challenging to schedule multiple people to single operations. We have got around this by making "work areas" in place of machines for the fabrication shop.
