Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use the Purple Wifi Enterprise version for our wifi analysis and the reporting it provides to help with our personalized marketing. The analytics and visitor analytics it provides helps our organization greatly with managing our network and marketing efforts. The data gather covers all the US compliance requirements and does not invade the privacy of users and it matches our company's code of conduct.

Likelihood to Recommend

Purple Wifi is well suited for an organization with an open to public head office. The number of visitors will increase your guest data collection and thus helps with targeted marketing within compliance. Purple Wifi is also useful for network analysis and tweaking to increase overall efficiency. Purple Wifi has limited uses for organizations with no public visits.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Purple WiFi to provide guest wifi to our customers. Also, via Purple Wifi, we are able to get first-party data and thereby lead generations.

Pros

  • It provides a stable portal for users to access internet
  • Integration of data received from wifi registration is easy

Cons

  • The customer support team is horrible in my opinion
  • The user definitions are not understandable I believe
  • From my perspective, the user interface is complicated

Had high hopes for this software but the user interface is too complicated to understand, hence it takes up a lot of time, I believe.

With this information we can know what this wifi is used for, what websites are being visited and it allows us to filter the use of our wifi connection to only students and staff members.

The Purple WiFi tool is great when it comes to managing the big amount of users that connect to your wifi connection. It allows you to leverage this connection and use it for the organization's benefit. This could be through targeted promotions, understanding user behavior, and collecting useful analytics from the users.
