Sprout is worth the money

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Sprout Social to manage client and my company's social media accounts. It helps with time efficiencies with their easy scheduling system, gives robust analytics for better strategic growth and has an organized interactions management system for cross-team timely responses for our audiences (and our client's audiences).

Pros

  • Robust reporting
  • Easy scheduling
  • Organized interactions management

Cons

  • There are some features that don't align with what you can do natively on social media platforms, like being able to post more than 10 carousel slides on Instagram, but not on Sprout.
  • The data isn't always immediately accurate, it takes time for Sprout to load the accurate data, which can cause reporting discrepancies
  • It is on the more expensive side of social media management platforms

Return on Investment

  • Time savings!
  • Intuitive features, for ease of learning and training employees

Return on Investment

Yes! Through it's reporting, I am able to pull detailed data that helps us make data-informed strategic changes to our client's accounts.

Overall friendly UX and easy use

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

For us, Sprout Social facilitates fairly easy coordination across a large team, collaboration on scheduling various strategic digital content pieces and monitoring the social media activity of our organization's members, as well as compiling performance analytics and reporting for review by external departments and partners. I and my colleagues use the tools on a daily basis.

Pros

  • Short approvals processes of social media content
  • Visualization of content scheduling in the calendar feature
  • Easy quick reporting of simple analytics
  • Tagging content and campaigns quickly

Cons

  • Adding new and emerging social media platforms
  • More intuitive and easy-to-use reporting

Return on Investment

  • Positive: Saves time when scheduling social media posts
  • Negative: AI suggestions for social drafts are off the mark
  • Positive: Saves time in onboarding since most tools are intuitive

Return on Investment

We haven't tested this explicitly so I don't have a confirmed answer to this question. However, we do use Sprout Social's various suggestions and tweaks (such as scheduling posts at suggested times, as rated on a five-star scale) so it's possible our social performance has been slightly boosted by these features.

Easy to use wish analytics were quicker to refresh

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Content scheduling and engagement analytics are the main things that we use Sprout Social for. Additionally, it's helpful to have all of our incoming messages put into one space so that they all are seen and responded to! It's easier than struggling to keep up with DMs and comments on multiple platforms at once.

Pros

  • Easy to schedule at peak engagement times
  • posting/scheduling on multiple platforms at once
  • sending emails about weekly engagement

Cons

  • Engagement rates are sometimes slow/behind the actual social platform (need to refresh a lot)
  • Would love to be able to add unlimited or more users to the account

Return on Investment

  • Helped with posting at peak times for engagement
  • Easier process to schedule in advance

Return on Investment

Yes it has! It's been easier to analyze engagement and examine what is working and what isn't. In addition, we as a communications team have done our own research about what TYPES of content perform well on each platform and what we should be aiming to post to reach our audiences, all while thinking of accessibility and getting our message across on social as well.

Using Sprout Social for Multi-Accounts

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I work for a large company that runs about 43 different accounts using Sprout Social. It solves a to of problems for us by allowing us to publish post for each account without getting to overwhelming. We also enjoy seeing the trend reports that can help us determine if campaign is working or not. It's also nice because it can auto send those numbers to each client if you set up auto reports.

Pros

  • Very easy and simple UI
  • Extremely Helpful Customer Service Help
  • Easy to Read & Understand Reporting

Cons

  • I'd like to organize my groups by color in the future if possible
  • While you can now individualize post per network, I don't love that it becomes 3 separate post afterword
  • Some products that we have to pay for in the basic plan we just don't use. I wish it was more selective use.

Return on Investment

  • Save time when either posting for all 43 accounts or just posting for 20
  • Reporting individual and overall data is something we did not have before
  • Responding to Google Reviews in one convenient place saves time

Return on Investment

Yes, Sprout Social has helped measure where we stand with social. It shows us things we can hone in on better as well as if something worked well. It can also track your ads given you have an ad account. Seeing numbers has also helped us also develop more targeted audience per account!

Sprout Social Effective but Expensive

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

[...] uses Sprout Social to build, schedule, and report on social media posts across multiple platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.

Our team is small, with only four of us inside the platform. Sprout Social offers an approval system that allows us to have multiple eyes on a post before it ever goes live.

Sprout Social's reporting allows for greater insight into our performance metrics.

Pros

  • Reporting.
  • Scheduling.
  • Approval system.
  • Cross-platform insights.

Cons

  • Price, too expensive.
  • I would like to be able to add video to an Instagram carousel inside of Sprout Social.

Return on Investment

  • Time savings.
