We use Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows to connect our server infrastructure to our main organization backup solution. Each server has an agent deployed to it which enables a multitude of backup options depending on which type of backup we require. The agents handle all communication back to the Veeam backup and recovery console.

Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows works well for all version of windows server that we've had over the years. Veeam have done a very good job of keeping backward compatibility with older servers. Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows works extremely well for our organization, providing email notifications at the end of each backup job. File compression is another big success and really ensures we get the most out of any cloud backup space we procure.
