Prefer Zoom Workplace over Teams

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Zoom Workplace is a reliable, easy to use means of communication in my organization. It is very convenient that it also offers webinar services that make it easy to host virtual events and integrate it with our CRM.

Pros

  • Zoom calendar integration is a great way to see what calls are upcoming
  • Ease of use for screen sharing and video call settings
  • Zoom Workplace is reliable at blocking out external noise that should be muted from actual conversation taking place in calls

Cons

  • I would prefer if the default setting was not to hide all participant view when screen sharing, it's more comfortable to still be able to see the people I am speaking to when giving a presentation
  • Zoom and HubSpot integrations can be very tedious and difficult to work with. I think It's a HubSpot issue but I hope Zoom can step in to make that process easier
  • I *hate* switching to another platform. An easy web-based option for those who do not have Zoom downloaded when speaking to vendors outside of the organization would be preferred so I don't have to use someone else's google meet or Teams web-based call option

Likelihood to Recommend

I had an issue with my calendar syncing to Zoom Workplace for a while, that was annoying, but it resolved itself someway. Maybe an update. The invite feature is week when in a call, my team never receives them, I manually always have to send a link. I also do not get Zoom call notifications so I am late to meetings often. Too much work to manually find that feature, wish it was a default setting like Teams.

I prefer Zoom Workplace because I think it works faster, is smoother, and I prefer the video settings UI over other platforms. Everyone else makes it too complicated to change backgrounds or blur as necessary. The adjustment for low light is also a huge win.

Impact Zoom Workplace!

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have a Business Zoom Workplace account with 12 licenses assigned with the Workplace Enterprise Premier feature. Most of our staff use it for large meetings or webinars throughout the year and throughout the country. We are a non-profit organization that primarily works with colleges and universities, as well as donors throughout the US.

Pros

  • Easy to Use breakout sessions
  • Conference Rooms are useful for webinars
  • Zoom Workplace phone is really cool!

Cons

  • I think it could be easier to change your plan without being tied to a contract
  • Could be easier when using the Zoom Workplace app and connecting your account versus online
  • Not much else could be useful

Likelihood to Recommend

We upgraded to this account based on our needs for breakout rooms in a large webinar. It went very smoothly with the amount of users that were required. Really we don't need a lot of the features on a regular basis so we would be pleased if they were to be offered without all the other stuff that most of our staff do not use

Zoom Workplace is used by our entire org for internal and external meetings. It is also used by our marketing and sales departments for external facing webinars. The integrations Zoom Workplace provides with Salesforce, Gong, Google, and etc. are critical for our use cases. Overall the team loves Zoom Workplace and the ease of it.

Pros

  • Recording internal meetings
  • Ease of scheduling
  • Integrations

Cons

  • Sometime google integration gives us trouble
  • Improved screen sharing features
  • Easier to use app

Likelihood to Recommend

In my experience Zoom Workplace is the superior video meeting tool. It is more reliable than than Google and easier to use than teams. It pairs well with our other tech stack tools with simple-to-manage integrations. The webinar feature is also fantastic and easy for our marketing and sales teams to manage.

Zoom Workplace is well suited for : Remote and Hybrid workplaces: Meeting spreads across different location can be easily be done using Zoom Large Scale Webinars and Events: Virtual conferencing with polls , Q&A sessions , breakout rooms are useful for large scale virtual events. Zoom seems to struggle in low bandwidth environment, this should be looked into.

Game Changer

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We host our monthly webinars on Zoom Workplace, and find that it's the ideal platform to host something like this on. We enable Q&A features but want to ensure that only panelists can see questions, and Zoom Workplace has been great for that.

Pros

  • The ability to hide questions from participants
  • The ability to record the webinars on demand
  • Sending out reminder emails to panelists and participants

Cons

  • The on-demand recording doesn't always work. For example, our last webinar was not recorded due to a technical issue.
  • The invites can be confusing for people who aren't very tech savvy. Sometimes the invite includes too much information, including the "dial-in" numbers that can detract from the link itself.

Likelihood to Recommend

Hosting webinars, interviews, and meetings. Though we tend to use Teams for meetings, Zoom Workplace perfectly fits our need for webinars and larger-scale events and meetings.

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

On the marketing team, we use Zoom Workplace for running our webinars. I like that it allows multiple people on our team to use the product and the webinar features are pretty intuitive so it's easy to learn and adopt as we grow our marketing team. I also like that the webinar attendee cap is larger than most vendors.

Pros

  • Easy to use and learn
  • Settings are clear and easy to understand as an admin
  • Allows for easy adoption across team members

Cons

  • For webinars, more interactive capabilities other than polls
  • For webinars, allowing us to block registrants by company name and not just email domain as we have to spend time looking up the domain

Likelihood to Recommend

Zoom Workplace works great for us when it comes to webinars. It's easy to use and the video recordings after the webinar allows us to easily turn our landing pages into on-demand webinars. The platform is not hard to use and can be easily adopted across our marketing team as we continue to grow.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I lead a team of 30 event producers across an organiation of 100+ staff. We host small closed netwrok events to large publica events with 3000+ attendees.

Zoom Workplace is intuitive, secure and a familiar tool to all our particiapnts. It is preferred by many audiences to Microsoft Teams which is our organizations default virtual event delviery platform.

Pros

  • A known and trusted name for our stakeholders
  • Easy out of the box integration of simultaneous interpretation services unlike Teams
  • Easy to manage participant permissions and security settings

Cons

  • The Sign language feature remains challenged
  • Enhanced chat functions in Webinars (not just meetings)
  • Interpretation not yet available in breakouts

Likelihood to Recommend

Zoom Workplace is the best tool available for our bilingualism needs. Integrated Interpretation and ability to have multiple sharers allow participants to attend and engage in the language of their choosing.

When we offer breakouts sessions we are not able to use interpretation which is a major challenge for our organiation

Zoom; best platform on the market

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We needed a platform that could meet all the requirements of our stakeholders for our annual Results Announcement and Interim. After comparing our options, we found that Zoom, along with their event team, was the best choice. We have been utilizing their services for over three years now, and even after evaluating the competition, we still believe that Zoom is the superior option.

Pros

  • Ensure discretion of users
  • Live interpretation with operator
  • uptime

  • for our use, none
